Enjoy a mixture of Yin Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga to help strengthen and lengthen your whole body, relax your mind and rejuvenate your nervous system.
Disclaimer - Yin yoga is more about targeting deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones, postures are often held for 2 minutes or more but today we will hold them no longer than 10 deep meditative and restorative breaths. Yin yoga is traditionally practised without warming up the body to avoid injury and overstretching. I encourage you guys to hold back during the yoga stretches we practice instead of going too deep, that way you'll avoid pulling a muscle and instead train the body to open up gently and slowly for you. The use of yoga blocks can be the perfect way to help you hold you back a little while you breathe into the stretch and reach a point of meditation while your body relaxes into the yoga pose.
This hybrid way of practising yoga is truly one of my favourite ways to flow, it always leaves me feeling lighter, calmer and completely ache-free, I hope you feel the same way about this less traditional way of practising yoga. Thanks Candace! I’ve done this class before a few times… Felt good to do it again today! I was thinking at the end how much I enjoy the birds/nature sounds that you have in the background of your videos! Makes it especially more calming when my eyes are closed and I’m concentrating on my breathing!

I reaaallly enjoyed this one! Thank you so much! It was different & a little more relaxing than other Vin/Yin classes I've done, but it wad really what I needed! 💗🕉 Classes I'd love to take (brainstorming of ideas): •beginner-intermediate classes (30m - hour) that have breaks built into the flow after heat-building (so I can try to build stamina & work on improving my heart... but not have to pause the video 500 times to do it! 😅) •more "feel good" slow flows (this one kinda is similar) that are very stretchy, with longer holds than typical vinyasa, but have more movement & flow than most yin & restorative classes (these are my *fave* type of class, btw) •classes or a series of classes that gradually build up strength, esp. for different areas (like arms/glutes/abs-core/hamstrings/etc; building up strength, maybe building on to routine each class with progressively harder poses/holds/difficulty, & sone stretches @ beginning & end) •flows that don't put stress/pressure on shoulders (I get frequent knots that --> migraines, & occasionally injury that require me to take days away from shoulders! 😓); hands-free flows are good too. Basically, classes that let people at home still practice & modify by choosing routine that avoids injured/sensitive area (I hope this makes sense!). •moon cycle flows, seasonal flows (I always enjoy these when I find them -- new moon, full moon, equinoxes, etc) I hope these ideas give you inspiration for future classes! Thank you so much for doing these videos for all of us still quarantining at home (or otherwise just practicing from home)! 💗

One more idea - more like that, but varying lengths + levels? 💗 I've really been enjoying your classes a lot lately! Thank you! Also, unrelated to yoga, your hair is *gorgeous*! 😍 Do you do anything special to keep it so healthy? I'm jealous! 😅

Great ideas, thank you. And thank you so much, I don't do anything special, but I have trained my hair so that I only have to wash it once a week, I also don't use heat products like straighteners or anything on it either or dye it, so perhaps all that helps. 😉
