Might as well. Not only have they had one of the most consistently good discographies, but they've had one of the best progressions of any band I've heard. Even in their early days they were already a pretty solid band. Same with AFI.

Thanks again Ayo. Of Dust And Nations is like one of the best THRICE songs to experience live. I love Teppei's main riff right after the atmospheric parts. I also love the line put your faith in more than steel.

"Step out from time, see the dust of nations. Step out from time, hear the stars' ovation." is my personal favorite from this song. We rarely look at history through a wide lens. If we did, maybe we'd realized we're one of the most insignificant periods in time with our homogeneity, yet every passing moment of ours is also the pinnacle of creation. Another favorite line of mine is, "Saturn will not sleep until the sand has made us clean." Less commentary on that; it just sounds dope lol.

@@ayotrippin well said and good on you for requesting this. Also, Dustin said the lyrics pull quotes from the Bible and the Dune series, which he said inspired the apocalyptic vibe of the song and the phrase "sand will cover them, sand will cover you". I should probably read Dune.

Been seeing this band since 2003. It's a shame they create art and music like this, and their greatest hit was Black Honey. Such an underrated and underappreciated band. I think that's why so many of us are on this channel, other places don't even react to Thrice at all.

'Not a fan of christian-sounding bands' I never really get this. Not criticizing, I love your reactions, especially the Thrice onces. But there are tons of great 'christian-sounding' bands out there. You will be missing out on a lot of good bands. If the music's great, awesome. If it has lyrics that can strengthen, experience, relive or sometimes question your faith in a good way, even better. At least for me. I love that about Thrice (and many, many other bands). Anyway, keep 'em coming! Much love from the Netherlands.
@bryanf10914 жыл бұрын
I get what she's saying though. Most straight up Christian music is trash. Not in terms of the message, but the actual song construction is normally trash. They tend to be really boring chord progressions, with too straight-forward lyrics, or too whorshippy. And that does not make a good recipe for a song. That's why Thrice is different. Thrice makes good music that can hold against actual music (not just Christian music), and that music also happens to have a lot of biblical lyrics.

Ahhh how I long for a lack of songs elected by syndicate. The choices are generally lame, sub par favorites from a band that most don't know. And while learning of new music is always good, these syndicat|s rarely show off the best of these bands but rather their favorites which are traditionally not the bands best songs. The choose songs that are either less popular specifically because they aren't popular or because the song has special meaning. It's stupid. Meanwhile, the music they'd be most likely listen to on the daily is, nowadays, never even played. I mean damn... No Jinjer, apparently they aren't even allowed to listen to Gojira anymore... Don't even want to listen to this channel any more. I ain't quitten yet. But damn y'all. Play some good shit. Why it always gotta be about the extreme?
