@@srothbardt No. I don't do autographs. I shook his hand and we chatted. I was running up a stairway and wasn't looking where I was going. Suddenly I become aware of someone in front of me. I look up and YIKES!! It's Vincent Price. He looked down and in that instantly recognizable voice said, 'Hello, son'. I ran into Bill Murray a couple of years ago. I shook his hand as well and told him he was great. As I walked away he gave me this odd look like 'What? You don't want an autograph or talk?'

He went to school with my mom’s brothers. When he came back to St.Louis, he ran into mom. He remembered her. He took mom and I out to dinner. What a wonderful sweet, Gentleman. Great sense of humor. Extremely intelligent. Kind…. It was so much fun. I was maybe 10(?) years old.

I believe when he died his art collection was worth many millions. Steve Martin is another actor well regarded for his knowledge or art and for his extensive ( and very valuable ) art collection. Dennis Hopper was another. You can find on here Mr. Hopper taking a ( BBC ? ) production team around part of his collection and explaining why he bought the painting and why it is important.

Vincent Price was a great dramatic actor, and in a very long career, he featured in countless movies playing a flamboyant, erudite and eccentric character. He was a scene stealer in so many films because of his haunting Shakespearean deep and seductive voice as well as his plethora of facial expressions, ranging from stern to false sincerity. In many respects, Vincent Price was extremely comfortable in historical costume drama films, playing the cad and in modern drama, playing the suave and chilling villain. He was not only brilliant in the epic biblical film: The Ten Commandments - playing the callous and odious Baka, the slave overseer, but these same talents of portraying a figure of terror, were also used to petrify audiences to great effect when he was cast as the religious zealot, Matthew Hopkins, in the film: Witchfinder General. Vincent Price was a remarkable actor.

Saw him in the North End of Boston in the fall of 1985. Just staring at this very handsome well-dressed man, holding court with about eight ladies who were surrounding him, trying to figure out who he was. Then it dawned on one of my friends who it was and we were tempted to cross Hanover and just say "hey Vince Price!", but from the looks of those women we knew he was trapped 😄 they weren't going to share him. He was smiling and they were laughing. The very definition of a charming gentleman.

Vincent Price was the host of a Canadian Horror/comedy show from 1971 called "the Hillarious House of Frightenstein". It originated in Hamilton Ontario and ran for a couple of years. The multi-talented Billy Van played practically the entire cast of characters. If you get a chance its worth a look. Price is like the Host Narrator whos only seen at the "intro" and the "outro"..... Its really wacky entertainment that I highly recommend.

Yes, I have lived my whole life not too far west of Hamilton and watched that TV show often in my youth. Billy was just hilarious while hamming it up as the various characters. And Vincent's voice was unforgettable, of course! Price really spread himself around, always popping up in productions here and there, having also done narration on Alice Cooper's song, "Welcome To My Nightmare" and of course, on the song, "Thriller" by the King of Pop himself.

You got me curious about his height I Googled it and it says he was 6'4. I never realized he was that tall but you were right he looked like a giant compared to everybody there. My favorite will always be the first Dr phibes movie and I also really loved him the movie where he was the last man on Earth or at least he thought he was. But really everything he played was awesome and one of a kind and what a Incredibles sense of humor and wit he possessed he wasn't that funny in this show for whatever reason Johnny seemed a bit insecure and kept talking over him which was strange and Vincent seemed a bit obsessed with Joan Rivers so it felt a little awkward and uncomfortable for some reason I don't really know why but that was really cool with the art critiques I also didn't know what a great art Aficionado Vincent was. I've watched other interviews with him and he literally will make you laugh your ass off is sense of dry humor is incredible kind of like Bob Newhart only with a little more panache

@@Czechbound You are not aware of what happened? Joan Rivers was in line to take over the Tonight Show hosting, when Johnny Carson retired. But, she was offered her own show and she "jumped ship" to take that opportunity. Carson considered this a serious betrayal and ended their friendship. I have seen videos where Joan stated that she felt frustrated, waiting, waiting and waiting for an opportunity; who knows? All I know is what the media feeds us, so there could be more (or less) to the story. We all have callouts with friends and relatives, but when someone is famous, the world gets to hear about it. I remember when all this happened and actually witnessed several very silly arguments about the whole affair. I liked them both, so I just felt sad.
