last sunday i went with some friends of mine to an event where I knew my ex would be there. My friends really wanted to go and I felt like that I shouldn’t hide myself just because she’ll be there aswell. Well it was stupid of me. I was 4 Full weeks into No Contact and I feel like I’m back to day 1. we didn’t talk, but she did see me and I could not stop myself looking at her across the room. Eventually she came up to me and greeted me, but it was not nice. She did not seem happy seeing me. We only exchanged a few words. I tried to keep it casual and let it be. I don’t know what to do. I accepted the breakup, I didn’t beg and pleaded and went full no contact for 4 weeks but I was impatient. I just hope that I didn’t ruin my chances entirely but I do feel like that I keep sending needy&clingy energy towards her. I wish that I could just let her go. I truly want to. No contact starts again and I’m back to day 1. I feel so defeated…

The root of the problem of the dumper/dumpee dynamic is the dumpee is not clearly defining solid boundaries for the dumper to comply with is you as the dumpee is not going to entertain any contact unless they dumper complies with the new rules of engagement that you as the dumpee now defined which is any further contact by the dumper can only be if it is about discussing reconciliation, otherwise you're busy moving forward. The dumper defined the breakup, you define further contact. At that point you also get to decide if you're even interested and let them know that too.

I think the dumper dislikes hates and feels revulsion for the dumper at the time of the actual breakup. If they liked you in any way they wouldn’t be ready to dump you. Months after the dump… the dumper either 1. Forget you completely. Never even gives you a second thought. They have moved on for good. No looking back for them. 2.Curiosity is aroused for whatever reason but it’s not real attraction yet unless they start checking you out with friends. 3. If the dumper sees that you are moving on and you have adhered to NO CONTACT AT ALL-then they will seek information. 4. They are reconsidering reconnection and they miss you a little bit. 5. Dumper calls the dumper. Now it’s up to you to respond accordingly. Maybe there’s an apology but 9 out of 10 there is no apology. Maybe he/She wants to get together or have a date. Don’t accept anything other than a real live DATE. Tell the dumper this. 6. At this point get some advice.

She broke up she said i took her for granted she was right because a past relationship i didnt beg work on myself its been 4.5 months i only sent 2 hello text 1 accountability letter and called once she still doesnt wanna talk...is it normal to be so long ! Both of us have no social media..thank you

Every single time you text it restarts the clock. It's like shooting yourself in the foot. Accountability letters are a joke too. She's gone, replace her. There are another 3 billion women out there. No single woman is special unless she had her eyes on only you.

We been on and off for 3 years. The first break up was in 2020. Will no contact help at this point? I want to move on and need the distance but I want him to feel finally my absence as it will be my first time really carrying no contact out. I’m exhausted of this w him
