Sup, I made ULTRA ADHD. Some background. It was originally released in 2016 after a long period of trial and error (and also learning Unity). I eventually decided to say fuck it and pay tribute to games I like (yeah, Space Funeral was indeed one of them) and also as an excuse to write some very dumb jokes. I understand chat shat on it and that's cool, if I knew Vinny streamed it in real time I'd have joined too for shits and giggles. Don't think it was a great selection as an egglike though. Anyways: love it or hate it, I'm happy it got a chance.

FWIW I thought the game was really cool and I was bummed that Vinny didn't give it more of a chance. I think the problem was that Vin was expecting egg-likes and wasn't really in the head-space for a dialogue based game, more than anything.

Not a bitrate filter this time, it's a low res 256 colour(or less) dithering effect, quite nostalgic and cool. Ideally it would be blurred slightly by an old CRT so it blends a bit but not completely, giving it a kinda nice texture. It does make it hard to be immersed in something though IMO, so I wouldn't use it on the average LSD-like.

Yeah, I get that, though for this first game specifically it was done to make it seem intentionally shitty. As the series has gone on I've drawn more and more custom stuff as my drawing skills became actually half-decent. (I also tend to make all of these games by myself, though that might change sometime in the future once I actually get serious about game development.)

48:30 - My problem with Doki Doki Literature Club is that it takes so long for the game to go anywhere. If a game doesn't grab me within the first half hour, I usually give up and don't look back. There's a universal rule when it comes to anything story driven that professional authors (including Mark Twain himself) live by. 'If the first page doesn't grab you, it's not worth wasting your time on the rest of the book.' This can translate easily to games. You can tell if a game is good or not in the first 30 minutes of gameplay.
