I don't believe that I've ever heard you mispronounce a word. At this point, if you do, it's forgiven. Hallelujah. I feel so stupid when I watch stupid people play games. I feel that they don't deserve to enjoy themselves with video games for 8 hours a day until they achieve a semblance of education and establish their lives beforehand.

Plug and Plague is like a Saturday morning cartoon villain of the week, they're a dime a dozen and don't really do much besides copying what all your favourite villains did but worse. Android shit-shows are more like the arc villains, they're worse and tend to be painful stereotypes, but they have a greater goal (stealing all the money). But MS-DOS games... they're the Eldritch horrors that were never meant to be uncovered and mark a really strange, dark turn towards the end of the season. And then we're right back to the campy and comical Plug and Plagues.

I haven't seen Vinny play it so far (probably because it's actually not considered too bad from what I've seen), but there's actually a DOS puzzle game where you literally play as a pyromaniac arsonist and your goal is to find the right places in different buildings to start fires such that the entire thing burns to the ground. There was also a drug cartel business management sim called Dope Wars (or Drug Wars, in some versions). DOS games are an incredible yet also terrifying world unto themselves.
@vanessaashford9203 Жыл бұрын
for those who don't know: Battle of the Eras was literally the creation of a small group of 9th graders who were obsessed with Mortal Kombat back in the '90s and wanted to make their own "extreme" fighting game. The character models are literally just the creators (and at least one younger sibling, and of course claymation) in thrown-together costumes filmed in one of their family homes (hence why they're all kids and none of them are wearing shoes), like they pretty much had a budget of exactly $0.00, just using stuff they already had on hand. For all of its (very understandable, given its history) flaws, it's honestly both really impressive to me and downright endearing that it's even a finished game that actually exists and is now readily available to people, as how many of us dreamed of making some piece of media as kids, but never even got close to actually having a chance, let alone finishing anything?? Keep in mind that this was also all during an era in which indie games in the sense we'd understand today were basically not really a thing.

This gave me some major flashbacks, especially games like Noggin Knockers and Executioners, which have an art style not unlike the kind of weird stuff me, my eldest brother and school friends used to draw in paint. Speaking of which, that Barney game seemed extra familiar to me because it mentioned the Barney killing gif animation; which... I thought was done by my brother? I remember it being a ms paint looking animation of a guy cutting Barney in half. I remember my brother sharing that gif with me and some other crude animations back in the earliest days of email. Maybe someone else did it, but if you ever see his old art it's very reminiscent of Noggin Knockers etc.
