I am working on cleaning and organizing my craft/sewing room (so hard with curious toddler and little free time!), and eventually I will be making some Haslam creations. In the meantime, I very much enjoy yours!

I was never able to do anything at all while the kid's were little. It's really hard!!

I think you should line the skirt as you reveal a Princess Diana moment.

I hope she addresses the slip issue in her underpinnings video coming up.

I know you posted this a year ago, and this suit is probably at the back of your mind, but the section towards the end of the video, where you're talking about posture; Would it be entirely possible that this pattern was drafted with the idea of using shoulder pads in mind? I say this, because I own about 3 40s suits of varying fabrics (a rayon crepe, a wool, and a cotton) and they all have shoulder pads, regardless of how blousy the blazers are.

This absolutely needs shoulder pads. I'm now much much further down the line regarding knowing what I'm doing, and this suit, I have so many things I'd change now. This is absolutely one of those projects that I learned a lot from.

Dis I see you use spy baste? If so that is a good Idea.

YES! This helps hold patterns flat and not wiggly so much better than pins. Now I would never ever use this on an actual vintage pattern.
