I have half of the Fun - Land sign. The Fun - half and also the Fun Fun Fun sign too. A waterspout blew them off the building. A piece of history.

It hurt my heart so bad when they got rid of miracle strip. Growing up in PCB, all of these were terrific memories.

Seeing ghost town really brought back some fond memories. I'd give anything to go back to those days. Somehow pier park just dosent do anything for me

Great compilation and production! I was happy to see the Sky Ride included. That was my summer job for a couple years when I was a teenager (and dinosaurs roamed the Earth). The county pier still there? Yes and no. There is a pier in the same location today. It has had to be rebuilt due to storm damage a couple times though. I think I heard it is now a twin of the pier at Pier Park now. But, I rarely cross the Hathaway Bridge nowadays. Everything I loved about Panama City Beach is lost.

This was when Panama City Beach was the "Real Deal". The attractions that have been destroyed are irreplaceable, and so are the memories that were created in/by them!!!!!! Just rips my heart out to know some of my favorite places on planet Earth are gone and my childhood memories are all that's left......

But how lucky we are to have those times in our past. These are the good old days for this Generation. How sad for them. But I'm old enough to go back to the Hang Out days. Got kick out by the sheriffs department for having long hair.??

You would think Panama city beach would only get better in the future, but it didn't get better. I miss the 'Miracle strip amusement park"and the atmosphere of decent fun that came with it. Now I feel like the man in the Twilight zone episode, "The Walking Distance"

When they tore down the Beach Tower I knew P.C.B. would never be the same. Edge Water literally moved Front Beach Rd. To much has changed. I've never went back.

Wow....!!!! Brought a tear to my eye. I have lived 3 hours away from Panama City Beach for the 40 years I've been on this Earth. My parents took us there at least twice a year for many years of my childhood. I remember all of this, I remember the magic carpet ride at Petticoat Junction, The train that took you to ghost town, the shady rest inn, all of miracle strip, and much much more that will live on in some of the greatest memories I'll ever have. Thank you for this video, an incredible sense of nostalgia came over me through the whole thing. :)

There was also another putt-putt place near fun-land that was similar to goofy golf called zoo land. I think it was turned into a camping trailer park though. I don't go to PC much anymore these days, maybe once every few years or for a deep sea fishing trip. Now that I have my own family, our vacation destination is Orlando more often than not.
