My mom and aunt used a cold cream called Pacquin's. Also a body lotion called Dorothy Gray. A favorite after bath "splash" was Jean Nate. I miss all three of these products from my childhood.

I remember Sophia Loren saying how she used olive oil and a hot flannel on her face. Since she has beautiful skin, thought I'd try it. I used a hot wet flannel on my face first to open up the pores, then smoothed olive oil over my face and neck. After about ten minutes I used a clean quite hot wet flannel, placed over my face to absorb the oil, then wiped gently off. Leaves your skin glowing. :)

What a fun story! I've never tried Olive oil... I know it can be a little heavier and can clog pores if it's used on a regular basis but as a once in awhile mask like you've mentioned, sounds like it might be nice ...thanks for sharing :)

It makes my wrinkles look smaller and fades some of the smaller ones. It's a secret I use to look 20 years younger. People always ask what I use. I am 61 look 35-40. Pond's and Nivea cream in blue tin. I also use rosehip oil like you.

What about the age spots on my face and hands, do any of these oils or something else help with that? I just thought of it while watching this. All the products you mentioned you could probably find on Amazon, like the Pacquin's, Jean Nate etc.

The oils will help fade spots a little and I am looking into some natural alternatives that will work well...even so the products on the market that you apply topically will fade spots by about half with regular use...this can be good if the spots are minimally dark ...if they are very pigmented usually more invasive treatments like laser therapy are needed
