I really appreciate you making this video and I'm so glad I found it. I bought many of the Christmas Stockings booklets because I wanted to make my daughter's family some. My grandmother made my sister, brother and myself stockings many years ago when I was a child and I wanted to carry on the tradition. I can't wait for the final toe part so I can finish one up. Thank you so very much!

I have never picked up stitches the way you do? I was shown when you pick up stitches you go through the stitch, wrap your yarn, and pull it up almost like making a stitch?

Hi Babyjenks I showed two ways to pick up the stitches. One way I put all the stitches on the needle first then knit the stitches. This is great for new knitters because it allows them to count their stitches before they knit the stitch ensuring that they can count all of their stitches and lowering the risk of dropping any stitches. After, that I showed how to "Pick up and knit" each stitch like you are referring to, above, either way works for this pattern. It may not work for all patterns.

Hello! Mary Maxim stockings have been a tradition in my family since well before I was born; each new baby and spouse receives one on their first Christmas as part of the family. And since my 93 year old Grandma can no longer knit, it has been passed down to me to make the stocking for my baby nephew, our newest family member. Needless to say, I was so happy when I found this knit-along tutorial! It helped a lot to visualize what I needed to do, especially since I'm a left-handed knitter and I had never turned a heel before! Will the Week 3 knit along tutorial be posted soon? I'm hoping to have my first stocking finished by Christmas. If not, I'm sure I can figure it out, but the tutorial was appreciated!

Hi Lisa, we are currently editing the last video. We know there are many knitters just like you that have had this very important task handed down to them so we wanted to be extra thorough, and these tutorials are taking a while to film and edit.

I found a mistake! Row 27 of the right heel says K5 but it should say K6!
