This is the carburetor that came from the Honda GV200, It was flooded for quite some time and I had to try and save it before it got junk status. By the looks of it, I think I saved it. What do you think?

If I hadn't watched you strip the carburettor down and work your magic I'd swear that it was a new one from the parts shop

Nice job, most people would have chucked it for a new one. But again you make it new. Great job

Good job! That unit looked liked like it had been run on gas that the paintbrushes had been cleaned in. It looks like new now!

I thought at any moment you were going to set that carb aside and bring out a new old stock cardboard box with a new carb in it... I would never even considered trying to repair that one. Time will soon tell if it still works to run your motor however, but where I was only 5% thinking it might work, I am now thinking 98% chance that it will. Really beating the odds with that one. It looks brand new now. The trick getting that old emulsion tube to come out of the main jet hole was something that in 30+ years messing with carbs, I have not seen. Very good thinking to find just the right shape and diameter of rod to push that tube out. I will be taking that trick to heart. Enjoy your content and sub'd and watch for every up load.

Bravo sir, bravo. That is the "perfect" carb rebuild if I have ever seen one. I was so hoping you refurbished the plating coating as well. And you absolutely did. It looks new and I bet works like it too... Thumbs Up!

As you took it apart, I keep wondering what exactly would cause such scale and buildup?? Even regular ethanol additive fuel would have that amount of calcified scale and crud. What do you think it was?

What were the cleaning fluids used?
@AJRestoration
@AJRestoration 7 ай бұрын
The cleaning fluid is a mixture of acetone and some kind of thinners, I am not sure actually, its a store bought product and it does not state what the contents are.

@@AJRestoration It took me a long time also, I ended up getting a Vevor 15L one and it's the best tool I bought. Dawn dish soap is what I use as the solvent and it works amazing.
