Talbot so far has been the best free agency signing of the summer. Really loving how solid he’s been. Real happy with the kids as well! Bring up one more and we have a “kid line”. If we can manage to win one of the two games this weekend I will be beyond happy 😂

Very good so far. Nice to be the team that “goalie’s” another team. Goaltending is often overlooked or written off as just bailing the team out. While the bail out part is true, when it happens enough it is showing a position that is a strength. Stealing some points come with that. Hope we have consistent good goaltending this year. Can erase or help minimize errors. Been a long time since we had that in the mix.

Talbot and the Lyon King will lead us to the playoffs 🎉🎉🎉 The Twin Towers on Defense will wear down the Enemy in a 7 game series!

@@Joe-t3r9u I appreciate the optimism, but I will be a bit more cautious. If those can help us buy time for the other pairs to improve. I am happy for parts of the team that I don’t worry about.

debrincat gets no credit. This guy is always in a position to score, yes he will miss some but he outchances the rest of the wings by a mile and thats hockey IQ he gets no credit for.
@daltonking69562 ай бұрын
Yeah, because that results in him putting a puck hard into the glass more often than not. I'm not even saying your wrong, but when I think of Debrincat, what I think of I how many times a game Ken's got to say "that went wide"

While the usage is tough for Seider and Edvinsson, if they continue to do well then the odds of them shrinking come playoff time when every team that they would face has a dynamic top line. May be a trial by fire now, but they may be better overall for meaningful play in the future.

Thoughts on Emmitt Finnie, A diamond in the rough?
@Septembersmith96332 ай бұрын
Possibly but the WHL isn't exactly a good competition measuring stick. If he can put up his current numbers in the SHL or AHL then yes definitely a steal. However we have more talented player doing the same thing in higher leagues right now. Hopefully though it'd be nice to see him pan out; center depth is a must.

Hmm, just made Team Captain for his Kamloops WHL squad, leads a team that is 8-8-0 so far this season, and has already played a few minutes last spring with the AHL Griffins and did not look out of place. Not bad for a 7th round pick.

@@gregorybiestek3431 People seemed to be pretty excited about the rather pedestrian numbers that Danielson put up in the WHL, with many of them thinking he'll be a solid 2C in the NHL(not me personally because if he couldn't produce big in junior hockey I doubt we'll see it in the pros). Both from the same draft class(192 draft selections apart), but Danielson was born like 9 months earlier.

Health is always a factor, but they'd Z and Dats would probably have had 2 cups together if Datsyuk had been healthy for that whole series against Pittsburgh in 09.

My unicorn nomination is Mr. Perfect #5. Also for the homers this weekend might be bad so make sure you look away cuz we're all pretty sick of the sog/LaLonde arguments; if I wanted to listen to old dying parrots I'd go to the Detroit zoo.

@gregorybiestek34312 ай бұрын
Well this real-life boomer (born '55) will forgive him if he wants to claim to be one of us. After all, the current rebuild after Holland's disaster is NOTHING like the Dead Things era that us real life boomers had to put up with.

Missed opportunity for this channel. The tone is always bland and negative. What a bummer. Good luck.
@templetonvonfleshbeak89152 ай бұрын
Wrong - this is the best hockey podcast there is. Yes, they spiral some blackpilled takes here and there but they are used to a dismal rebuild. This ep in particular was pretty positive and I think they will come around and give credit where due. Its hard too because the dumbass analytics community shits on us yet we outperform their projections consistently so there is a lot of negativity out there that they get caught up in. They just want the team to do well and win a cup so they need to win games by overwhelming and outchancing teams, not relying on luck.
