6:43 THANK YOU for that EXCELLENT offering of "How to paint raised letters". I see SO MANY videos where they are painted individually with a small brush and, IMHO, they always look like crap.

With the exception of you not showing the sandblasting, which is one of my favourite parts, excellent video. It looked great by the time you finished with it. I love the way you did the lettering.

You may not have a practical use for it, but there is a niche market of old media fans that would love it. Nicely done.

That's a cool piece bro, you could use it to rewind cassette tapes lol. Sorry man I had to go there. Nice job and I'd just enjoy it for what it is. Hand cranked grinders are very easy to find and fairly inexpensive too. I've done one myself.

Fit a chuck and it could be a low speed anything,drill,sander,buffer,fine sharpening stone,etc. Bolt it down stationary to have one hand to hold the piece and one to run the crank. Sometimes less(revolutions)is more. You know,a question like that would make a good giveaway question sometime in the future. Edit- Make it power a siphon. For what I don't know.

The two most disappointing words in the KZbin video world... “after sandblasting”. It’s everyone’s favorite part! It’s real purty, tho! I can’t think of anything to use it for - except maybe winding twine onto spools.
@fredosleepswiththefishes5 жыл бұрын
love your work sir, only one complaint, why do you deny your public the satisfying pleasure of viewing the sandblasting process? don't you know how many people you are depriving of the almost sexual release of watching it? you are a cruel man. that said beautiful finish on this piece. stay happy and healthy.
@OneMansJunk5 жыл бұрын
Again, I only have space for a tiny blast cabinet, not these huge cabinets others have. It's such a cramped space that the dust makes video close to impossible.

Convert an old 16mm film rewinder into something else, hmm? By jove I have it! A 30mm film rewinder! No, but, as everyone has mentioned, literally anything with a low rpm. Spiffically, though, were I you, and I'm not, so I actually have no idea were I you what I would do, but were I me where you are, I would consider, since you can orient it horizontally, turning it into a zoetrope. You might be able to fandangle a channel logo thing in zoetrope form, say.
