I'm considering hunting one down. When my sister and I were little kids, we would play with the busted one that used to belong to our great great grandparents. I don't know if it was this exact model, but it was a 1930s Remington portable typewriter.

I always wanted one of these; not to type on (I have a 1932 Underwood Noiseless Portable that's small), but just to admire its design. Never pursued buying one because I think these little jewels need to have owners who'll actually type on them.

Just bought one but it’s lacking the ribbon. Can you maybe tell which ribbon group this typewriter belongs to so I can buy the correct ribbon?

Look for a Remington compatible one, not a universal ribbon. You can also reink the ribbon on your current spool. I've found pigment ink is best rather than watercolour ink. Stamp pad reinkers are good for this and bottles can be purchased from craft supply stores. There are YT vids on how to do this.
