My beautiful son doesn't want to have anything to do with his father and me and his siblings :(. My mouth fell open, when I saw the celluloid comb and metal! We opened an old box with the remains of a comb and 9 pairs of shoe buckles. The silver ones are black, and I am going to try to clean them. The steel cut with marcasite buckles are whole but totally rusted. Is there anyway to clean them? You are a great teacher! ❤

Jason, I’ve recently found your channel and love your content! I have some exquisite pieces that I inherited from my Great Aunt who was a world traveler several times over. Her husband was vice president and treasurer of DuPont Co. In Wilmington, Delaware. She was a lover and collector of fine jewelry and I’m lucky enough to have a few pieces. One is a 19 ct Tourmaline surrounded by diamonds in platinum from H. Sterns, a sapphire and diamond line bracelet in platinum and a lovely 14 kt gold slide charm bracelet among lots of other pieces. Much was sold by my mother in the past, but a few are still here in my safe. My sister has a stunning Ceylon sapphire ring identical to Princess Dianna’s ring that was bought the same year as Dianna’s was purchased. I’d love to share some pictures with you if you’re interested is seeing them. I don’t think she ever wore the sapphire bracelet or the slide charm bracelet as she was a big Dutch woman and they are small. I think she just liked them. Most of her gems were large. She always said, “They’re only gaudy when you don’t own them!” Colette
