Yeah. For once, it was smooth sailing. No stuck seat posts. No broken components, no stripped bolts.

I did the same thing to a 80's Trek 560. Bike looks good with just one sprocket up front and no derailleur. Much cleaner and lighter. For handlebars, I tried half a dozen different ones, I settled on NITTO B483 Touring bars. They are GREAT!

What size frame and wheels? Seems like a smaller bike?
@tatlongbikekalang13903 жыл бұрын
I never measured it because it fit me well but I guess it's 19 inches frame 700c.

@@tatlongbikekalang1390 I recently got a univega road bike, and the frame is small and wheels are 24" Can I put 26 or 27" wheels on. Sorry for dumb questions not very knowledgeable with road bikes
@tatlongbikekalang13903 жыл бұрын
You don't need to apologize. You mentioned that your bicycle has 24 inch wheels. That means it uses normal 24 inch wheels. 27 inches won't fit. You can put a 26 inch wheel BUT I would not recommend it.. 26 inch wheels will limit you with much thinner tires and the front wheel will definitely hit your feet when you turn. Another thing, you will definitely adjust or change your brakes if you are using cantilever/calipers. No problem if you're using disc brakes.
