I love doing this. I am shocked by how much I have enjoyed this past year. NEVER did I think a camera and sewing machine would bring me this much joy. I promise, I'm not going anywhere.

I love the silhouettes of the 1930s dresses...but I'm short at 5'3ft & am not slim, which seems like what these dresses call for...so I wish I could see how these styles looked on multiple body types...

What you are seeing are drawings (not even photos) of the design concept. I highly suggest finding a FB or pinterest board of not Hollywood pictures of people during that time. Look at the hair, look at the shoes, and see where everything regarding the clothing is landing. When you think '30s, think bias cut and longer hem lines, and really try to let go any concept of any body except yours. Give yourself room to play and laugh. Get out a big thing of fabric from the thrift store and try some stuff out. Sew On!
