Never seen a Blake Stitched midsole acting as a welt sort of for the outsole. Really cool design! Loved the leather midsole for the heel with a cork cutout for the foot. One of the more interesting types of construction I’ve seen in a while!

@TrentonHeath Hi ya Fellas! Just me again. I really liked this video. It's got it pros and cons. On one hand, after a long day, the sights and sounds can lull one to sleep very easily. On the other hand, you could lose the one thing that's kept you apart from the rest, and that is the history behind the shoe or boot you're working on as well as the comical sibling rivalry that achieves the needed laughs in a stressful world. I think, keep both. The silent when you just don't have time to teach and teach when you have time. Anyways, great watching you fellas. Have a blessed week

Despite the relaxing nature of an ASMR video I still like having things explained to me . Besides you both have pleasant speaking voices to listen to . The finished product looked outstanding as always btw.👞

My Dad used to have all those old hand tools, he had shoe lasts too. He would repair his shoes with kits he bought at Woolworths. You could actually buy leather or rubber soles and heels at Woolworths. The kits came with glue and a scuffer to roughen the soles. This was in the 1960s, long before internet videos existed.

Awesome video, I like the way you changed it up and use caption dialogue with the background music. The background music selection was perfect. I have no preference as I like it when you audio narrate your videos, or when you do it with no narration and audio captions with background music, both outstanding quality. Also please give my best to Forrest!😎. P.S. My sandals are arriving today🩴 Gig Goldbarth

My favorite machine that y'all have is that green one that cuts off the excess leather --- that thing is a beast ! And sounds cool too --- that one that threads is interesting too... y'all's shop in general interests me greatly.. I asked a long time ago if y'all would ever do a walk around video -- just sort of walk around and talk a little about the machines but I never saw it so that probably means that y'all are too busy or just not into it... that's cool, no worries..we just enjoy looking around when the camera pans out.. I say "we" cause I watch with my girlfriend..I wrote y'all a message about that awhile back, she's has a crush on Heath lol...anyway, we enjoy it, thanks

2:10 for me a leather halfsole is a perfectly legitimate way to get a quick, less pricy resole and some more life out of the bottom materials instead of replacing everything right away! the old heel repair was weird though! very good job you guys!

That's a great shoe and design for a resole. Always a fan of loafers. The difference in seeing you teardown a mickey mouse and the finished product are a testimonial to your craftsmanship and integrity gents. Yes your machines running and their patina is soothing. Reminds me of a machine shop I was a helper at in 1990. Most of the lathes, grinders and drill presses were at least 40-50 years old. If they could tell stories....

Friendly suggestion, if using an iPhone or mobile device to film, look into getting an inexpensive gimbal stabilizer. This provides ultra smooth video capture and helps provide a more cinematic effect. Amazon has tons and Zhiyun is a great brand for this sort of thing. Cheers boys. Thanks for making videos for us all to watch.

I think I would prefer a hybrid - some of the things that got written comments barely even needed that (especially after how many of these videos they’ve made) and are fun to watch without narration, but other things (like the comment about never having been resoled properly before) could have used a bit of in-the-moment oral explanation.

I love watching the two of you do amazing work on every set of shoes and boots that have come your way. First thank you for what you do and secondly thank you for doing it in a way that I can sit with my wife and children while I watch and not have to worry if you will do or say something that will contradict the Christian morals and standards that we instill in them. Thank you. Down to business... I've noticed you do not have 1 episode involving the old 1920's style mens "button boots". I have 2 pairs that I would be honored to have featured on your channel. A workman is worthy of his hire so this is not an attempt to get something for free, I'd just like to see the process done on my own special shoes... Please email me if you are interested. Thank you again.
