I think I got nearly the exact smae model 2nd hand and recently was taught that sewing machines need specific needles.... I haven't gotten it to work yet as the needle is hitting something in the bottom and the bobbin isn't actually moving (as you can tell I'm super new to machines) but overall this was really helpful! Thanks so much and wish me luck getting it to work!

they don't need special needles, these machines use standard 15x1 home sewing machine needles. Make sure you're inserting the needle all the way up, with the flat side facing away from you. As for the bobbin and bobbin case, they shouldn't move. The hook which surrounds them should move. Best of luck

I have the same machine in which I just replaced the gears and finished timing, now the hook picks up the thread but the bobbin wont spin so the thread just keeps looping, the plate underneath the bobbin moves. Why wont the bobbin spin. Can you please help. Thank you

This machine has the most common needle replacement. Loosen the thumbscrew, remove your old needle, insert your new needle with the flat side of the shank away from you (towards the back of the machine), insert it all the way up, tighten the thumbscrew.
