his video is about the second collection of former Sri Lankan skipper Sanath Jayasuriya sixes. It features hits from as early as 1995 to 2008 of legendary Sri Lankan left-hand batsman Sanath Jayasuriya. In this collection, there are few hits from his record-breaking innings in Singapore against Pakistan. Sanath Jayasuriya (134 in Singapore)went on to hit four sixes off Aamir Sohail and hit no less than eleven sixes. Jayasuriya also scored 26 runs off RP Singh over inclusive two sixes. Jayasuriya hit five sixes in total against India in 2008 Asia cup final. The collection also brings action from Jayasuriya's 112 vs England in Leeds, 199 vs India in Colombo, 217 vs England at the Oval, 111 vs New Zealand in Napier.
Jayasuriya was instrumental in transforming the modern limited-over game as we know it today. In 1995, Jayasuriya opened Sri Lankan batting along with Romesh Kaluwithara and the rest is history. Within a few months from that, Jayasuriya went on to establish the record for the fastest fifty in ODIs.
Sanath Jayasuriya was renown for having shots all around the wicket. Jayasuriya's weaponry ranges from cut shots over the third man to glances over fine leg. Sanath Jayasuriya can play either on the front foot or the back foot effortlessly. Sanath Jayasuriya played both seamers and spinners equally well. Sanath Jayasuriya had a knack of scoring big hundreds and prolong the inning. Therefore, he could get his opponent pay dearly for missed opportunities like drop catches and run out chances.
