One of my absolute favorite Rabbit stories, every moment of it. We all have “That” car, the one that started it all. Most of us will never own, heck never even see “that” car again. To own it... after all these years.... just amazing!!! Ps my “that” car was my Uncles 1979 “Bandit” Pontiac Trans Am with Ttops and a 4-speed. Man did I love that car... he gave it to his brother, who subsequently wrapped it around a telephone pole... unfortunately she is cruising the streets of the great highway in the sky now.

The one that started me down the road was my parents 1970 Pontiac GTO. That thing would pass anything but a gas station. Sadly, it now sits, rotting into the ground, never to be driven again.

Mine was my fathers 81 cadillac coupe deville. i loved that damn car so much. he used to drive me around to put me to sleep in it because it’s the only way i’d fall asleep. i used to sit at the window all day waiting for him to pull into the driveway with it. he sold it to a family friend and he had it for almost ten years. he sold it to one of my dads close friends who originally owned the car. he passed away 3 months later and his wife took the car and blew us off for 2 years. finally now at 18 i have it back and drive it every single day. it’ll stay in my family forever. the car that got me into cars, the car i always wanted and now i wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.

I felt like I was watching some kind of classic inspirational movie like Rocky when the big reveal was happening toward the end talking about the moment you realized it was "THAT" Corvette from your past...we were all connecting the dots getting excited for you...I even jumped out of my chair and cheered and started choking up with happy tears. These are the stories that remind us why we are car people. Why we love to share the "car disease" with everyone. We all have some kind of similar story when we first got infected. Mine was a 1969 Corvette Stingray in LeMans Blue with a 327ci. 🥰

I remember my cross street neighbor had one of this back in the late 80s. He always wore white gloves driving that car. My neighbor ended up buying this C4 recently, and has been nice enough to let my son and I take it to Boston Cars and Coffee coming up in a couple weeks. My son is 12 years old and just like myself, has an immense love for cars already. KZbin and video games has him loving cars like a Hellcat but he hasnt gotten a chance to ride in many real cars so far. Really looking forward to our day together in this iconic C4. The radar detector, built in phone, combined with the triple white are what really make it an icon for me.
