You know he’s Italian when he refers to the car as “her” and describes it like a sexy woman
@marcocartalli75033 жыл бұрын
It's cool that you see the poetic part of it, but in reality it's because of how italian work: in italian we don't have the neuter, like "it", and we only have masculine and feminine, and car is feminine, so when speaking and writing in English, it feels more natural to refer to a car with feminine adjectives and pronouns instead of using neuter adjectives and pronouns. And obviously there's a sentimental part that elevates a car from an object to a living entity, but I think this works only for petrolheads

Touring those car factories is fantastic - unrivaled attention to detail, history presented with utmost pride and beautiful aesthetics. But also the food in the Emilia-Romagna and Bologna regions is some of the best in the world. Alfa-Romeo, though, is in Milan, which is also beautiful, but different. However, the Giulia itself is assembled in Cassino, which is closer to Rome ;) Those towns - Modena, Maranello, Sant'Agata-Bolognese - are littered with places that rent those cars, while also providing pretty interesting driving experiences. Fast cars, great food, great wine and nice, friendly people - just writing this makes me want to book a return trip!

@@tmbthe1425 Yes I do. It goes everywhere. I work at a Hospital that has a staff parking garage to keep it safe. I live in a rural area that has many back roads to push the car a little. Unfortunately, all the fun roads are up north a few hours from where I live. This weekend I’m taking it on a 7hr drive to visit a cousin. The only problem with a tiny car is that you never look cool exiting the vehicle. 😂 I’ve found that using the latching part for the door that’s mounted on the body is a good point to push off of to get out of the car a little more gracefully. The reason I daily it: It’s small It’s fuel efficient It’s pretty fast in its stock form Its beautiful And I get to listen to its Engine behind my head. @@SoldatX2 I haven't driven or even seen one in person But he is no power steering a pain
@SoldatX23 жыл бұрын
@@tmbthe1425 not at all. You simply drive the car a little differently. It’s tough to turn when you’re fully stopped but the fix is to give the car a little gas to start rolling and the steering immediately gets softer. Once you learn how to manage the turning it’s as if you drove any other car. People who complain about this simply don’t like having to adjust their driving habits. Honestly, you notice it the most when parking but as long as you do as I mentioned, it’s easy and it’s not a con. Cars in the past didn’t have power steering and people managed. My grandfather’s 79 Datsun pickup had manual steering and we drove it just fine. I like the firmer steering feel I get from the car. It feels like I have really good control over the car. The real problem is that it has a carbon fiber tub that can be damaged if jacked up incorrectly. Finding a shop and explaining how they must lift it to change the tires is a must or else you’ll end up with a totaled car. General maintenance is not that expensive, though Alfa has a scheduled bolt tightening every x amount of miles.

Amazing car. Too bad everyone wrongfully acuses it of being unreliable. I've done my research and have found that it's actually on par with German rivals, and on many instances, even better. I hope people see through this nonsense because this car is definitely the best of its class.
@sykesdenali23 жыл бұрын
German cars aren’t reliable though. I’m not talking about the first 10 years or 100k miles. Every car should last that long as a bare minimum. Only turd buckets don’t. I consider a car “reliable” based how often they break during years 10-20 and from 100k-200k miles. Most German cars fail that test miserably, hence resell values. I don’t know if this car is reliable, and we won’t know for several years. I hope it is a great car. The world needs more of them. But, surviving the 3 year warranty period doesn’t make a car “reliable.” Just my opinion.
@aliaborez39873 жыл бұрын
@@sykesdenali2 I totally agree. But the thing about German cars being unreliable is because they are compared to regular Toyotas or the regular commute car. Yes, a sports car will most definitely always be less reliable than that so that also goes for the American made ones or any other countries equivalent for that matter. Scotty Kilmer has a thing for telling people that European cars break down every 5 minutes while praising Ford or Toyota. While yes, it may be more expensive to repair overseas, that doesn't mean an F-Type breaks down anymore than a Corvette does. In Europe it's the opposite. People don't usually buy American made sports cars because they feel like those are cheaply made disposable kit cars. All I'm saying is that sports cars will never be as reliable as a Corolla. They can't. Those are made from the ground up to be bulletproof. But what the sports car can do is get better at reliability and regular driving instead of getting a million more horsepower every year.

It's always a good sign when the people who built the car say " she stays together, ey!?" .... Solid /s

Car damage resets in video games but that doesn’t bother people. But everyone wants to pick a part movies. Just watch it and enjoy jesus.

Love the design, having been in Quality control for automotive suppliers. I'm hesitant about buying this BEAUTIFUL ITALIAN AUTOMOTIVE.

Alfa must have their stuff together if it can stay together with some Federico drifting with no errors or breaking. I don't remember hearing any stories of reliability with old alfa

I lived there for years and at the time I loved to complain about how things there, no breakfast besides coffee and a pastry, Italian time is not precise open at 9am does not mean 9, 9:30 or even 10, closing for lunch 1pm doesn’t mean 1pm if it’s slow or if the shop feels like it they might close at 11:30-12:00, open back at 4-5pm … maybe. I would be in line at my landlords bank depositing the rent it could take a few minutes or 2 hours, the teller may take your papers and in the middle of the transaction just sit down and start eating or go have a smoke. But the one thing I truly miss about southern Italy was the driving. The only rule seemed to be, dont crash. 4 wide on a two lane road? No problem. Going around all the cars at the red light and creating a new pole position on the outside of the guy in the turn lane? No problem just accelerate quick enough to beat the cars coming in the opposite direction doing the same thing. Cops “patrolled” by standing on the side of the road with a tiny hand held stick with a red circle on it, a lollipop we called it. They would just raise the stick to stop you and when the approached the car I’d just blab in English and they would just let us go. Was a wonderful few years, I’d love to go back.

Alfa Romeo is a love Hate relationship. Exhilarating performance and then your check engine light is always on.

It’s not the car doing the stunts... ITS THE DRIVER!!!😅

With Alfa we expect performance. What we don’t expect is reliability. If they expect volume sales in America they need to focus on that.
