Thanks. that's what I try to do.. hope that you will sample it quickly.. if I did album reviews, I would be spending 6 or 7 minutes per record, for me that drags on too long. Thanks for watcing.. appreciated.

Fantastic haul JT. I particularly like the Buffalo Springfield and Byrds albums you picked up. Awesome stuff. Canned Heat is cool too. Nice beginning shot on the water with Golden Gate Bridge in the distance. Nicely done. Also, I love the inclusion of the location of the movie Bullitt. One of my favorites from the 1960s. Great video JT.
@jtsrecordroom39633 жыл бұрын
Yeah Rich.. I'm chugging up the very steep Fillmore Street, and I could have sworn that was the location for the Car Chase scene in "Bullitt"... close, right around the corner is Taylor street, and actually there where a number of locations for the filming very close, if not a street away !! Great trip, definitely..

Those mega stores can be so overwhelming and so hard to shop. They are fun to see but the little independent stores often have some real great treasures like what you picked up. Definitely a lot of San Francisco influenced music. The first Ultravox’s is well worth seeking out, so different from Vienna. Enjoy. Steve

@jtsrecordroom39633 жыл бұрын
'So.. the price stickers are coming off easily, a couple were difficult, but didn't tear the jacket.. thanks for watching !
@jeffreylind37393 жыл бұрын
Awesome haul, JT! Great records, and well worth what you paid for the condition they are in. One question though- If what I'm seeing is correct- what record store puts their price stickers directly on the original album covers?! Doesn't he have them in a plastic outer sleeve with the price on that? I've known some stores to write the price with a light grease-type pencil on the deadwax as a safeguard. That will wipe off easily after purchasing. Really enjoy your record store finds.
@jtsrecordroom39633 жыл бұрын

Turn! Turn! Turn! And Buffalo Springfield Again are both very good albums. The Byrds and Buffalo Springfield were such talented bands I wish they would have stuck together longer. Both bands could have been up there as some of the best. For me both bands suffered after making two great albums. The Byrds weren’t as good after losing Gene Clark and David Crosby. Buffalo Springfield basically broke up after their 2nd album when Neil Young quit.
@jtsrecordroom39633 жыл бұрын
Yeah Jason.. I agree 100%.. I played in our band with Kai Clark, (Gene's son) for 8 years, from 1993 to 2000.. and I learned alot of the inside stuff, that many of us know, with greater detail.. Gene had to go, couldn't take the envy, and jealousy, any longer. And his manager was grooming him for a solo career, which he took too long of a break, between The Byrds, and his first solo record. He had a thing going on with John Phillips wife.. Michelle, from The Mama's And The Papa's, during that time as well !!
@jasontheoldmillennial71973 жыл бұрын
@@jtsrecordroom3963 wow, that’s interesting. There were talks that he had issues with anxiety and couldn’t handle flying anymore. But I’ve seen in interviews where he said that wasn’t true. I’ve also read that other members of the band were mean to him because they were jealous he was making more money due to songwriting credits. It’s too bad because they could have been even better than they were if they stayed together.
@jtsrecordroom39633 жыл бұрын
@@jasontheoldmillennial7197 His son is still a good friend, our kids play together.. so, yes.. Gene saw a horific plane crash as a kid..and getting on the plane when they went to Europe was rough on Gene, and the band!! But that is not the real reason he left The Byrds..Mainly, Gene made way more money, his songwriting royalties.. this caused animosity, especially David was a total pain for Gene..
