What's going on Guys! This is VinylicPuma and as was requested, I went ahead and made a video comparing some of the various ammo types available to the player in Fallout 4. This episode will be a Worst to Best comparison of all of the Energy Ammo Types in Fallout 4. So without further ado, Top 8 Worst to Best Energy Ammunition Types in Fallout 4!

EVEN BETTER with every rank of nuclear physicist every time you use up 500 shots it only drains he core 50%!!! With final judgement giving the extra speed it's easily the best weapon in the game.

Sin Squid​ you know how fast a minigun fires I assume. Then add 25 bleed per hit. That is mine.

I remember getting a rapid gamma gun and slapping the Lorenzo's artifact attachment on it. Now it's called Rapid Lorenzo's artifact gun. I can only imagine why he would be called Rapid Lorenzo.

Fusion cores are not only potentially the most useful types of ammunition depending on your build like a Power Armor heavy gunner that uses Gatling lasers, to very absolute useless like an assassin sniper build, they're also the cheapest form of ammunition too as shots, fusion cores can go to as cheap as around 400 caps, that is cheaper than all other ammunitions even .38 rounds which can cost 1 cap a round

+Ville Lepoaho Great legendary weapon. I've put a flamethrower barrel onto this gun - extremly effective vs attacking ghouls. They can dodge and evade regular shots - but not the plasma burst.

2mm EC cartridges are ballistic! The gauss rifle is a ballistic weapon! Dont be confused by the blue stream of light! The gauss ridle deals pure ballistic damage! This is by far the biggest misconception of Fallout 4!

@@Atomic_goats A massive oversight. Gauss means that it's a *physical projectile* being propelled forward by an electromagnetic force. Technically it should count as a ballistic weapon. That would be like saying all guns should deal explosive damage since the bullets are propelled forward by a small explosion

Not to mention, there's a perk which makes fusion cores last twice as long (1000 shots instead of 500) which makes them stupidly inexpensive for a TON of damage output

The problem with the plasma weapons is the damage is split between physical and energy... and they appear to count separately for armor-reduction purposes. This means anything with a decent amount of resistances takes less damage from a plasma gun than it does from weapons that do less damage but have a single type.

I never knew fusion cores were ammo type? I thought they were only for power armor(something I only used twice in main game and I think far harbor wanted me to use it,I never did)

Fusion Cores are maybe the second most important thing, first if you like taking your power armor with you where ever you go and using the brute force approach in fallout but you have to use them for gating lasers

Because you can put a modifier on it that chambers it (Is that term still valid when referring to lasers?) in microfusion cells instead. Doesn't edit the damage though! (To the best of my knowledge at least.)

with the nuclear physicist perk maxed the fusion cores will reload twice into the gatling laser for 500 rounds both times meaning it can hold 1000 rounds for 258 caps

the gaussrifle is no Energy Weapon, the Gamma gun is not really a energy gun but a Kind of , The Flamer is no energy weapon it does "Fire" Damage and this is only symbolized as Energy Damage cus Bethesda is to lazy to make a Icon for that Damage and the armor would then also need an Icon

Can't you up the Gatling Lasers Cartridge by use of 'Nuclear Physicist' Perk? I know you an get more time from Fusion Cores in Power Armour with the use of the perk, but what about the ammo capacity for the GL, or does it just stay at 500 shots by Core?

With the amount of Fcores I have the wounding laser gattling gun, it melts everything due to the fact that the wounding 25% bleeding STACKS

Try Wounding Flamer, do not upgrade it to Napalmer. Wounding Flamer shoot faster and will do more damage due to stacked wounding damage without sacrificing much range compared to Gatling Laser.

Good video, and i have a question, what's better a Partystarter (basically an Assassin's Rocket Launcher) or a Irradiated Rocket Launcher? Partystarter does 50% more damage on humans and Irradiated does 50 radiation damage with every hit plus the damage from the rocket.

+Austin Robicheaux I'm not sure. I'd probably say the Partystarter would be better. You figure you deal 225 damage against humans with that. At the same time, the Irradiated Launcher would affect all enemies not just humans.

Since a rocket launcher does more than 100 damage, partystarter would be better. Though launcher (missile or fatman) legendary effects only work on someone they directly impact, not those in the blast radius.

Didn't you say railway spikes were 100 damage per bottlecap spent? That would still make them better than fusion cores. Also, when taking the new tesla rifle into account, fusion cells could rank considerably higher.

It's like of you want to keep using the cryolator you have to take the diplomatic approach and get high charisma and get the caps collector and vending prices lowered to a reasonable price but I disagree with you at fusion cells because they are using in every laser weapons but if you have the scrounger perk then you can find lots of more ammo of people, 2mm Electromagnetic Case I'll say case because i was typing this while the video was going on, it's used in the gauss rifle on of the most powerful rifles in the game, I do agree with you on gamma guns but it spreads radiation and I don't know if does that much damage to anybody and plasma cartridges they are used in plasma weapons and have to be bought I don't know how much it cost if you take the diplomatic approach in fallout or not
