Her acting is so extremely fluid! And she has a very brilliant way of communicating. And when she acts and even when shes in conversation you can tell shes an artist. A great study in dialog, comprehension, and even movement. It's almost like dance in slow motion. When someone's like wait a minute, play that back. It's just an absolute craft. So talented.

OMG i love how she dessimates the whole "ive got it all together" narrative. Dude, life is hard and we are all trying to beat our inferiority complexes, childhood traumas, etc. every single day. Its one foot in front of the other. I love that she speaks about the real experience and not the bravado or fake confidence performers put on. We're all insecure. Period.

entered the entertainment industry (sort of) for a bit out of luck and some locals noticed me, and those weeks that i was in that spotlight of publically showing my art, i felt like i was a fake, that i didnt deserve any of the opportunities and that 'they would find me out as a fraud'. especially when you've seen so many other more talented entertainers who don't get such opportunities it makes you feel unfulfilled and like you should just quit. hearing the viola davis talk about this makes me realise, that perfection is a never-ending cycle of torment with no resolution, there is no such thing as perfection.

God, this is dead on. I got backstage and sang for Eric Benet in 2000. He gave me his manager's number and I never called. I let fear, that imposter syndrome prevent me from moving forward. Now, I'm working on a few novels, and though imposter syndrome is still there, this time I keep working and I keep writing.

I respect the heck out of her. She is serious about her craft and she is passionate. She brings such a level of professionalism to the table that it's just undeniably amazing. You can tell that she is classically trained but can still freestyle with the best of them. Her range and her depth is amazing.

Same! She totally opened my eyes with this because dealing with imposter syndrome has put me in a position where I am my biggest obstacle. I often end up convincing myself that I'm not good enough, which isn't all that healthy. I never even considered that there's a healthy side to imposter syndrome until she put it that way.

I like her! The healthcare part was interesting, i moved to Germany and working here as an American i have found that i automatically have universal healthcare in EVERY job which means any doctor, any hospital, for anything with no bills. The use of tax money being used for the citizens and regulating everything means a great system. The USA is a kindergarten government compared to every country over here.

Love your work. Family that preys with Kathy Bates- one of those Movies I can quote certain lines. By heart. It moved me. The 2 women were so in sinc the characters were so in harmony; like Lucy and Ethel. Lucy & Ricky. It was magic. Tell me- how many times have we all watched AI love Lucy episodes over and over .,time passes. It’s not on . It’s on another network - hundreds of times over 60 years of magic . That movie was To me like The color Purple, Fried Green Tomatoes, The Help all in a orchestra of One persons life affecting another’s decisions. So it was Real . Deep and I really fell in love with you after The family that preys. Perfection. You took on that Character- she’s not this woman I’m hearing in this interview. Totally different personality . Way of speaking. And finally the song you sang at The funeral.... I hated that song when leeaAnn Womack did it. I don’t know why. It just didn’t get it for me. But you made me cry singing your friends favorite song that orobably at the time she thought you paid no mind to. But you did! Excellent. I’d watch it again now. Oh watch Bridesmaids Christine Wig. Melissa Mcarthy . Cant reveal how many times I’ve watched. Mainly because it’s all that was on. I say to myself why am I watching this again? Because it’s really good acting . Fun feelings understanding Human beings complex emotions and portraying them. As Kathy Bates can hobble a man in misery and in the Baltimore Bombing true story of Richard Jewel ; Kathy rips at your ❤️ heart. I adore you ! Great interview.

all this is 'is' professional liers. who says there aren't uncountable ways of ' be - ing! ' it's the person who own the set up and the person who wrote the script to determine who plays the part to 'their' imagination. all the black ladies could make a 'face' and yada yada yada mouth their lines. she talking in circles - take the role don't take the role - agent dont yu call me with them crappy roles - take the crappy role to sharpen your craft. 'imposter' as to not being a convincing actor? - isn't the whole sha bang ' imposterous'? new word - look it up ' in your mind '. idris elba 'i am not a black actor' - how come i didn't get the part? the part isn't for any one black - go on home - we'll call you when we get a script call for a little diversity
