I get the impression Brahms was particularly high-minded. Very serious guy. I haven't read Mozart: a Cultural Biography, but it sounds really interesting! I know Mozart read philosophy, including the philosopher Moses Mendelssohn, who was the grandfather of Felix and Fanny. P.S. You look especially pretty today (yesterday now, I guess), and that spider brooch is awesome!
