Great watching your video. You missed several olives. Lol and a banded tulip. Funny how we have tunnel vision at times.

Hmmm, I'll have to go back n check as that would be the 1st Tulip I've seen found here. Happy New Year and thanks for watching . 😁🌴🐚

It’s funny how when a certain shell is common in your area it becomes uninteresting to you but yet others find it desirable. In my area you could fill a bucket in just minutes with olives, calico scallops and bittersweet clams. Yet we have no sand dollars, fighting conchs or murex. To get significant variety you really need to travel (or live in Sanibel)

I enjoyed watching today. It’s interesting to me the difference in the coquinas there and the ones near me in SC. The last few I found were pink or purple which were quite noticeable in our dark seashell landscape. Praying you have a wonderful new year. Blessings

We will be visiting okaloosa soon. My 7 year old daughter loves shelling, but we haven’t had luck finding the shell piles you did in the video. Would you mind sharing where on the island you were searching here? Thank you!

Hi Ginger, Thanks for watching. While shell piles are exciting to find, I haven't seen one in about 2 months. They come and go with the weather and the tides. However, by consistently shelling everyday for hours on end, I have found a few here and there. I hope you enjoy your stay.
