How to react to the different punches is what I'm having trouble with I usually know what's coming easily right now i would be south paw and easy shift towards your Jab but it has become predictable when Im sparring and if I try to shift towards the right I get hit with the right hand

So if this could actually be done mapped into VR this would be next level. Imagine with full body tracking too - could tell if you blocked the shot with hands or elbows or weaved under a shot etc. Still really cool helpful tool to be able to use when not actually sparring!

Maybe you should've explained: When I throw a straight right or jab: block, when I throw a hook or overhand: duck, when I throw an uppercut: dodge back. I know it depends on distance, height, even preference, but in general people shouldn't be try to duck jabs and shit like that. At least the most common ways of defending each punch could easily accompany this video, or a video demonstrating you using your own video for training.

This is a great technical breakdown. Most boxers do not explain things intellectually. Your ability to do this definitely makes you stand out and is a strength as an instructor. Also, dunno if you remember me! I haven't commented in a long time. I had to take a break from boxing and jiu-jitsu because I was in a car accident. >:( The good news, however, is that I started teaching kids martial arts classes. I teach kickboxing and I work with a world champion boxer... so it's a pretty cool gig! :)

www.google.com/amp/s/www.cnet.com/google-amp/news/watch-any-youtube-video-in-vr-mode/ Heres a link showing step by step how. I notice I don't see tht option on the desktop versions using PC, but for sure its a option in the video settings on the mobile, xbox, and PS4 KZbin app versions. KZbin even have the KZbin VR app which I never used. Samsung, Google, and Oculus have VR sets starting at $50 up to $129.99. The $50 headsets will do the job for videos like this for sure. The high dollars ones are for the hardcore gamers tht feel the need for high end graphics card.

Reminds me of my first time going to the gym and realizing how important distance and timing is. Good video on showing this through first person view. If so you should do different styles to defend against like the philly shell/shoulder roll to southpaw stance to Dwight Qawi/Joe Frazier style to slick style like Naseem Hamed/Muhammad Ali/Roy Jones Jr. Because people don't throw jabs, hooks, uppercuts and right hands all the same way. Because Triple G and Felix Trinidad have both great left hooks but are thrown completely different and unorthodox punches like Razor Ruddocks "The Smash" are unique punches too.

I thought the interactive punching part was cool. I tried to dodge the punches while I was watching it (I have no experience) and at first I had no clue when the punch was coming but by the end of it I had the hang of it. But I think the reason I got it was because you always threw the left hand first and you kind of shook it before throwing it. And you never really threw any punches during all of the extra movement when you were moving your head around.
