Get a old one and put a ssd in it if you want to something just to learn and run VM's.

Hi Danish, This might be really dumb question, but at 1:07:28 the root domain name does it have to be a real one or you can add a non exitent fake one. Like can you put anything there ?

You can put anything but use .local just so you don't have any issues later. Example you can use hq.uzairahmed.local

this is regarding the image you created of the machines.there are two servers,with first server which you named "DC" you created the image ,then with the second named "server b"you cloned it.Is the clonning step related with the imaging step.I mean for clonning ,do we have to image the machine first.

I’m stuck on the end I am trying to add the server to my dc even after changing the IP address it’s not picking up also I think I notice none of my servers at connecting to the internet is that why it’s not working ?sorrted it was cause my vm was not connected to the internet

@@BosboPlays I did sort it by the looks of it in my comments make sure the dc IP address is correct and make sure on the dc your gateway ip is the loop back address

My windows server vm keeps freezing then move again, freeze then move again etc etc. Does anyone know how to resolve that? The Windows Server VM has 6 GB of ram plus I put 4 cores on it with 50 GB of storage.

After I did the sysprep step it’s saying the computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows I installation cannot proceed. To install windows, click ok to restart….it just continues this cycle

U used Datacenter Eval (desktop exp.), shouldn't it be standard? Or it doesn't matter?
