Reminds me of my cousin, we all thought little of him we thought he was going to be a drug dealer like his dad. He one day said he was going to join the army so he can be like my dad. We said "sure you can" as a joke. Mind you my old man was in Nam. He went and did what he said he was going to do. Now, after 2 tours and a purple heart later, he became a real good dude. I went to college but yet I hold him up to a standard I wish to become.

Mr. Allen, this story about your son is one of the things that's inspired me to try to enlist in the USAF. Thanks for sharing it!

The Navy changed my attitude , it was the first thing my father noticed then the body change. Yes sir no sir and waiting to fully hear a question, then my body a foot less hair 220lb to 195lb plus 10lb of added muscle. Believe me My best friend didn't recognize me and my best female friend wanted to more all of the sudden.

I wish I knew when this was recorded. KZbin always gives you the upload date, but I think contributors should provide the performance date, especially on stuff like this. That said, I have heard Jeff Allen quite a bit on satellite radio, and I think he really has a great act. I don't mind profanity, if it's used appropriately (and humorously). I can't stand toilet humor, though. And I find that if a comedian can be funny and g-rated, well, he's above those who can't! Jeff Allen is great!

@halolego That's pretty cool. I had the honor of meeting him in 2010, and after talking with him for a bit, he said, "I ought to take you home to meet my kids." He also had the extreme courtesy of thanking me onstage for coming up to meet him.

i can agree but get this God helped in wars, there is a reason why. to protect his people who believe in him. I agree that we need to get good leaders, but the thing is a man has got to learn what he is fighting for. think of the individual in that army, he/she is fighting cuz he wants to protect his/her family probably. Think. Would you die to protect your family? I would, I would stand on my last breath to protect my family, friends, loved ones.
