Tell you what: when you guys get 61 like he is, you'll appreciate what he's able to do. The simplicity, the practicality, and he didn't even need to use any profanity to make his point. Obviously, this video is to inspire young and old to use anything at their disposal to keep fit. Thanks, Mr. Hulkster!

how could anyone hate this guy. He's always a super nice guy. He gets in a low point in life and says some words in a moment of anger and everyone acts like it discounts every other thing about him the rest of his life. People are so hypocritical. Everyone gets mad and says shit they don't mean from time to time.

Paul Orndorff said in an interview once that back in the 1970s when Hulk was really lifting a lot, Hulk could curl the 100 lb Dumbells in each hand. Make no mistake Hogan is still very strong. I saw him bodyslam the BIG SHOW back in 2007. That was a 420 lb man he slammed. Pro Wrestlers are without a doubt very strong Entertainers by far!
@scooterdog2910 жыл бұрын
In an interview, Hogan admits he hasn't bench pressed in over 30 years, he uses light weight and high reps, no power trainer, EVER. Hogan admits he can't lift very much, he doesn't care. Now back in the day, he probably trained differently, and was juiced up to the max. No matter what, for his age, the drug and alcohol use, he looks damn good for not living like a body builder.
@justingause550110 жыл бұрын
scooterdog29 Without a doubt! I met him personally 3 months ago he's still in awesome shape.
@scooterdog2910 жыл бұрын
Justin Gause Compare him to Ric Flair, Flair being a few years older, his chest is flat, flabby, and he looks like he's 100 years old. Hogan is in fantastic shape, at his age, those muscles are unreal. Look at all the back operations, he is 4 inches shorter, but has maintained one hell of an awesome body. I"m sure test therapy and GH shots are helping, but even so, he looks damn good for an older man.
@nemonucliosis5 жыл бұрын
If you think that body slamming someone is simply just lifting someone up and slamming them, then you probably still think that wrestling is real. The technique is designed in a way where anyone can body slam someone. antonio inoki stood 6'2 and weight 220lb in his prime and body slammed Andre the Giant.

@consciouslyaware22192 жыл бұрын
I got into bodybuilding at the age of 16 and was trained by professional bodybuilders. I was always taught that you don't need to lift heavy to gain all the muscle you want. You just have to use proper form and lift complete range. And Hogan just explained that the same way my trainers explained it to me.When I first started bodybuilding at 16,I was always lifting heavy and my trainer told me that is completely wrong and it's going to cause you to have injuries later in life. Well here I am age 44 and now my back and my shoulders are completely shot because I thought at a young age I had to lift very heavy,but that wasn't the case at all. I've been lifting correctly most of my life but the damage that I did to my body in those first couple of years is why I'm suffering today.

***** You wouldn't get cancer if you used steroids under a trainer's or doctor's supervision. Hell, do you think somebody as famous as Hulk doesn't have somebody regulating his intake? But it's not like steroids automatically make you huge. You still need to work incredibly hard to maintain those arms.
@9clegalm510 жыл бұрын
***** I completely understand. Personally, I don't understand why people use drugs outside of medical emergencies. I'd never want to take steroids as I'm straight edge. Just saying that if done right it can be safe. The doctor who "killed" Michael Jackson was illegally giving Jackson anesthetic medicine to help him sleep. That's much much different than steroids. "Also lately notice their has been reports..." With the new age of technology there is a new report every time someone farts. It makes it seem like things are getting worse, when in fact things are better right now then they've ever been in human history. The cases that you see on TV or read online are extremely rare. That's why when a case comes along it sticks around for months, or even years because there's nothing near as exciting or drama filled to replace it. Yes, there are doctors that strive for money and will hurt patients to get what they want, but those doctors are extremely rare. Not to mention there's been a serious crackdown on malpractice over the past decade. Anyway, you'd probably be more likely to get cancer from the radiation on airplanes then you would with monitored roid use.

Full range of motion is great and all, but when he says weightlifting isn't about weight then he is wrong. You can stretch out the biceps and contract with great effect using full range of motion, but when you're using really light weight like he says then you're not going to see any gains. You have to constantly challenge your muscle groups and the best way to do that is by upping the weight. Once your body becomes adapted to lifting 15 lb dumbbells, then it's not gonna do you any good if you just keep lifting that light. Massive gains and results can be found when you use correct form, full range of motion all while increasing in weight.
@Bullhammer9 жыл бұрын
Nick Davis He is obviously giving these tips to complete beginners. They should always keep the weight light and focus on the range of motion.
@drothokkroc40619 жыл бұрын
+Nick Davis His basic point is, pick up a weight that you can lift with around 12-15 reps with a good technique. Picking up a weight that you can lift only 6x with horrible technique wont make your bicep get big. nad he is right witht that. From my experience using a decent weight and lifting it from 12-15 reps, using full range of motion, lifting it slow and using good form, gives you a good pump & gain.
@wesleyhempoli55488 жыл бұрын
King Vito ya arms especially respond to high reps. Personally, I do week 1-4 with 12-8 rep range (the 8 is on final sets only), then week 5-8 with a 9-5 rep range, and finally for the last 4 weeks (week 9-12) I do a 5-1 rep range. I try to stay in this range but honestly I'm obsessed with moving up 10 pounds for heavy lifts per week (like bench, squat, deadlift, barbarian[aka reverse grip bench], shoulder press, shrugs, and even barbell rows [I hit like 185 by WK 12]. Yes my form can get a little sloppy at times and I can tolerate that to a point until I breakdown and drop 5 off the bar. I train for pure strength tho I'm not much of a body builder type because after 12 yrs of training Ive noticed that the heavier I go, for my 12 week stints, the longer I keep my gains after a month or 2 off, especially 1 rep max power. So basically for me personally (and I have experimented ALOT over the last 12 yrs) the order of importance is: #1 moving up 10 lbs for power movements and 5 for every other exercise even low weight moves like side raises and front felt raise. #2 staying in rep range #3 perfect, full extension in my range of motion This isn't to say I will get infinitely sloppy in my form for the sake of going heavier but I do have some toleration when it comes to going heavy vs losing a bit of form. Usually what happens is if my form is sloppy that week i make note and move the weight up less so i can improve my form more for that week. Always make notes and keep a log of your sets and reps. GO HEAVY OR GO HOME!!!
@easytherepilgrim23398 жыл бұрын
+Nick Davis I do agree with you. When you are comfortable with a weight, you should increase it. Keep doing that, and you'll get results.
