It's 2021 now, and I wonder if these people who heard Viscount Monckton are so arrogant as they were back in 2011? Climate will always do what climate wants to do. We as humans cannot stop it. Stop worrying about it!

People are so dumb to laugh and show their bias based on ignorance

It's particularly interesting that Marting Kirk tries to discredit Monckton saying that he isn't a "scientist" and further proves his ignorance stating that he isn't a member of the House of Lords which he clearly is. Were we to demand that all those who contributed to the development of mankind needed to have science as a profession, why not discount Einstein, since he was a clerk in a swiss bank? Or Aristotle, Socrates and so many others? Is reason a monopoly for those with a diploma?

science is to scientist as art is to artist. Science is learning, experimental knowledge. Art is more on the applied side of things, but they're both general terms. You don't need a laboratory or a studio.

6CO2 + 6H20 --> C6H12O6 + 6O2 Some of the audience members seem to be ignorant of this formula. I blame public schools. Do any of the climate change alarmists recognize it?

It is common knowledge that carbon is a pollutant. Organic chemistry is passe.

@James Eames Carbon is the basic building block of all life on earth. I learned about this in high school. But I graduated high school in 1990. Maybe they stopped teaching this?

Necessary, but not sufficient. Burning up ancient carbon *must* have an effect, you should be able to see that, if you're truly analytical. Then there is the implicit assumption that CO2 is the only limiting factor, which is obviously not the case. Plankton haven't responded in the way suggested here, and they only would if we also seeded the oceans with iron-containing compounds. Again, look for the limiting factor.

@@jamesthecat Yes, burning ancient carbon has effects. Have you accounted for the effect of powering our civilization? You must look at all of the effects, not just the ones that support your narrative. You must also be careful not to exaggerate anything. It is important to be objective. The goal is to promote human flourishing.

As everyone here has recommended, go over to Potholer54's channel to find out why Monckton's arguments fall flat.

Are you saying that the Medieval Warm Period never happened? But what if you are wrong? Strangling the world’s energy supply for no good reason will be highly detrimental to human life for centuries to come. Maybe we will never recover and be kept in the dark forever. Thinking about that makes me very depressed.
