I had the Vision Legacy chassis for my TRG22 before the Pro was even a thing, but I got rid of it because I felt that the barricade stop was needlessly far forward versus what it could be. Made balancing the rifle a bit more of a pain versus a Vision pro or say an MDT Elite. But I ran the vision handguard for the trg for a few years, it was really a good upgrade.

I like the mag-well idea. You could really press against a barricade without moving the mag around, causing feeding issues!

Bought my first CZ 457 finally made it to the range. I was testing various ammo from CCI(mostly just to get on paper) SK, Eley etc. best by far was Team Eley. 3 shot group all same hole. At any rate I had every kind of problem. Maybe I just got a lemon idk. 1 non fire (team Eley) it hit the round just didn't fire. I had all kinds of extraction and ejection issues. At least half of the different ammo had extraction and ejection problems. It wasn't ammo specific. Not sure what to make of it.

Sounds like its a little loose on headspace. Id get a set of bolt shims and add 2 thou and see how it performs with that

Well i was going to ask if it would take a1.25 barrel and read your comment were you had to take some of the material out of the chassis for your barrel anyway nice look chassis

You said it didn't take much to remove some material to free float the barrel. What did you use to remove material? My experience free floating a barrel has been with wood stocks so it usually a dowel rod wrapped in sandpaper to get the job done. I don't have any experience free floating barrels in an aluminum chassis. I have the L3I barrel on order and looking for a chassis.

Ji Josh, you mentioned material as aluminum 7075, but info on they site says it's 6082... Or I miss something?

I looked and apparently its been made of both, i will try and find out what the current material is

It's looks like only Vision Pro made from 7075, unfortunately version for Cz457 made from 6082 😢. Not sure how it's bad.

Josh, One thing I have noticed from all your videos is that when you operate the action, you seem to do this effortlessly with little or no rifle movement. My 2 CZs aren't like this. I have them both in Grey Birch Chassis, no weights...is it weight? Looking forward to your advice. PS: I have a 20" Lilja and a 24" L1i CZ 457 Drop In Barrel coming.

What is the weight of the chassis, bare and complete with your rifle/scope? How much weight do you have to add to balance the MCR 1.18” barreled action? Trying to find the lightest stiffest option for a 24” 1.18” barrel that balances on the schmedium.

Bare weight will vary on forend choice and best bet be to check gcp’s website. For my rifle its sitting about 20lbs

Will the L3i barrel fit in the inlet of the Vision chassis? The L3i diameter states at 1.18” but that is right at the edge, so given any variance in tolerance (chassis or barrel), was curious.

@@stevenlee2780 its gonna be sitting on the inlet like a barrel pad essentially. My muller is actually slightly over 1.180 and i just took off a little material to get it free floated

@ the vision will need more weight to balance because of the pro buttstock. The mdt has a stripped down buttstock making it lighter in the rear. That said id always take the heavier rifle that balances over the lighter, makes the rifle more stabile on the bag. So ultimately for me i would similar weight to both
