In this episode I review the work needed on the MG Midget shell post media blasting, and I start work on cleaning up the rear arch and shock support bracket.

Make or buy? Initially, I thought you'd be making all the metal replacement parts. It's good to see that you point out where it makes more sense to buy new, and where parts you make yourself will do the job. You don't actually say it, but your underlying thought is "safety-first". That's highly commendable. Fly rust prevention: spray or paint on? Which is better?

+CharltonLatchford replacement panels are relatively cheap, so the time cost to fabricate them is uneconomical. Regarding safety, I want every vehicle that leaves my workshop to be the best I can make it, safety is essential and patching over rust is a time bomb for a future owner - its not acceptable for me. It may take a little longer, but the end product will be a better one 🙂 How rust prevention is applied doesnt really matter in my opinion, as long as its good quality and is actually applied.

Why did you remove the clock? I was being nosey and seeing how long it was taking.

Love the videos but PLEASE stop the insanely irritating demented chipmunk music.

Paul Laurance agree, the music ruins an otherwise excellent video.

very poor body construction, so many places for water to sit.
