Two points missed. St. Sava Crypt. It's a half of experience. Second part of promenade. Path was, probably, closed because works on tower, but there is a detour. At Galeria embarkment, you could find abundance of world class restaurants. So, next time, Cheers

Did you had to learn Serbian or is English enough for everyday communication with the regular people on streets?

I spoke serbian and croatian respectively with all the local people. Croatian is my mother tongue and almost the same as serbian.

You can use app called Google Lens to translate stuff with your camera, it's working pretty good. Enjoy Serbia.

Thank you for explaining how to hear the difference. Unfortunately, I can't hear it yet. In Columbus, Ohio I need to find events for immigrants and attend so I can hear Serbian and Croatian. I started to attend services at an orthodox church simply to hear spoken languages and natural conversations. The church is very welcoming to me. I have seen services performed in 5 languages if you are counting the English and Slovenic. I believe the church provides services in languages selected on ability and their attendees. I am still early in recognizing the Serbian is being spoken but I don't hear the difference if it is Russian or Ukrainian, yet.

I have my head spin if I see latinnic and cyrilic together. Both alphabets say exactly the same thing but I must learn them separately. What messed me up was believing I must be reading latinic. I came to realize I was studying phonetic English text. Ooops!

She didn't buy anything... which was WORSE! I had been through this shopping torture before and was just an accessory in most cases. But this event was a manipulation of my opinion. Which pair of sunglasses did I like best? My answer every time was how I liked the first pair best and I refused to change my answer across dozens of pairs. But then I learned we are doing this in every store with every pair of sunglasses that can be found until I change my answer. I came to realize that she was not buying the sunglasses at all. Rather, it was a shakedown to spend the money I had for paying our utility bills. She didn't buy anything but I wasn't released from these hours of shopping until I said I liked the most expensive designer sunglasses that were available. I can't remember if I ever saw her wearing them again after or not. But that is how American women act when they get brainwashed from too much garbage on television and the internet.

@@dreamsbecomewings Ja samo pitam jer sa svih strana gledam kako se unistava nasa kultura i jezik a forsira nesto strano. To meni licno smeta ali svako neka radi kako hoce. Nisam hteo da nikog uvredim, samo pitam cemu to vodi. Ne citam komentare jer ih ima gomila. Pozdrav za tebe i zenu. Ne znam odakle je ali primecujem da joj engleski nije maternji jezik.

@@dreamsbecomewings Tako i treba. Treba znati tudje jezike i kulturu ali cuvati svoje. Ja radim na aerodromu i govorim engleski izuzetno dobro, koristim ga na poslu nekad i vise nego maternji ali van posla se trudim da ga ne koristim ako ne moram.
