Hi friends! I am so happy that I finally get to share with you all what it is like to visit Glacier National Park and Whitefish, Montana in the Summer time. If you have been on any of my social media channels for a while now, you will know that ever since my family moved to Montana a few years ago, I have been obsessively visiting every Summer, because it is hands down one of my favorite places on earth. In this vlog, I share with you some of the realities of what it is like to visit the park in September, what it is like when the weather doesn't want to work with you, and how to beat the crowds. I also share some of my favorite easy-to-reach photo spots in Glacier National Park because trust me, you will want to bring a camera when you visit. Come with me to explore Lake McDonald, Logan Pass, Going-to-the-Sun road, the Hidden Lake hike, and so much more! If you are interested in visiting Whitefish, Montana, then I also share some recommendations for things to do, and some bars and restaurants to check out. I hope you enjoy!

Per Google maps, the McDonald lake viewpoint near Apgar should be as good at Sunset. Is this right?

I lived in Whitefish for over 30 years (arrived in 1982). was great until about 15 years ago ( i moved out 2 months ago - to Ecuador). rude, pushy, gun-toting, in-your-face, newbies absolutely ruined and forever changed what used to be a friendly town. so sad. it is an Aspen wanna-be town. the rich moved in and brought their own banks and lawyers and hired a complicit, corrupt police chief to bend to their childish whims. tons of a-holes everywhere. they brought every big city bad attribute with them. tail-gaters, passing in town through school zones, parking wherever they damn well please, treating cashiers and "essential workers" like dirt. GONE with the friendly nature that first attracted me there nearly 4 decades past. and what they've done to Glacier Park is criminal. it is overrun with rude, wildlife knowledge lacking, trail etiquette defying, thugs. despite having over a hundred summits of dozens of mountain peaks and having hiked nearly every trail and having biked to Logan pass (see - goingtotheFunrd video) too many times to count. i had to leave; i couldn't take it any more. because of the people. the rude, in-you-face, ignoramuses overwhelmed all else. sad. so damned sad. glad i moved. i love Ecuador. the people are nice. so nice. like whitefish used to be...... sorry to be a debbie downer, but i have standing to comment on a place i resided for over 30 years. it's become a rude tourist trap....
