He was one of the most down to n intelligent guys youd meet. Never forget about 430 am him getting on his motorcycle heading to the Pocanos home. I said Peter get a room. I wasn't expecting to react so emotionally to this video. It gave me chills. How quiet and final looking at his grave. He really is gone. Damn this is heartbreaking. That beautiful man and that's all that's left? A few TON souvenirs for a life that meant so much to so many. Damn life sucks.
@dismalcyanidecustoms5 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for stopping by! I will say Pete definitely left more than that in this world, what you see here is just what those of us have left for HIM. Even still, the small trinkets at his headstone are but a tiny sample from the few people who have had a chance to visit. The music and genius behind the man is eternal!! (And obvious by how many have viewed even this small memento I made, let alone the millions that the band's videos and songs have generated :D) He and TON will live forever, of that there is no doubt.
@sixxychik5 жыл бұрын
You're so right. He definitely left behind so much more, but just thinking about him as a person he deserves more than just a headstone. It doesn't capture how important he was in this life, how much good he brought and how much the world is missing with him gone.

I fell in love with that soul honestly, and like I said he ain't bad looking either. I hate that I was 19 when I first heard them (2014) and I didn't understand the music so I just brushed them off. It was last year when I finally started listening to the music and got to know about peter. Update 😀 I've posted 2 previous comments about visiting Pete's grave over the past couple of months. My son and I went yesterday. It was a beautiful day and drive on the way up. It was kinda hot 🥵 though. My son just turned 22 and had to work the night before. I asked him if he still wanted to go and he said yes. He had only gotten a couple hours of sleep the night before. We found the cemetery no problem. Once there we also found the section no problem. Now we couldn't find his grave. Nothing indicating range,row or plot #. I had come fully prepared with all the info written down. After wondering around for about an hour, I finally asked someone for help,as I was getting very frustrated and sweating a lot and I am always worrying about my son,who as I mentioned was extremely tired. The person I asked was extremely helpful. There are letters and numbers on the sides of the headstones. I noticed these before, but I thought they were measurements or something. Duh 🙄. It turns out we were right there all along and then found his grave no problem. We spent maybe 45 minutes there. I put 2 stones on top of Pete's grave and my son put 2 red roses down. 2 for everything, one for me and one from my son. We said our peace, paid our respects and talked to Pete. I don't really want to get into what was said and done just because I feel like it was just between the 3 of us (no offense to anyone). I will say that we bought a tree for him on this site called legacy.com. Licensed arborists plant the tree in a forest of need and they email you a digital certificate with your name, the deceased name and you can put what ever message you want on it. So that was basically it. It was a fun, awesome,hot, tiring experience for us. Sometimes frustrating, but definitely a great bonding experience also. Sorry so long, but this will probably be my last comment. RIP Peter Steele. The Green Man.🌳💚😺🍷🌹.

I went on vacation to NYC in October of last year. Stayed with a friend of mine, a NYC native and an army friend I deployed with in 2003. Got to check out Coney Island, try a famed "Dirty Water Dog" and visited 4 of the 5 boroughs. One thing I certainly requested - for him to take us by Pete's grave, which he did. Took a number of pics, not out of morbid curiosity or disrespect, but because I love Type O. Never got to meet any of them or watch them perform, so this meant so much to me.

TON became one of my favorite bands recently cuz i discovered them during the pandemic & fell in love with them & peter’s song writing ability & when i got deeper down the rabbit hole that is a TON comment section, i found out that he had passed on in 2010 & i was heartbroken. to everyone who had the chance to meet him or befriend him, i’m so sorry for your loss. if you’re like me & have never seen TON or met peter, then you probably know how i feel. stay safe y’all 💚 (i know that this was word vomit into a paragraph but i didn’t know what else to say haha)

Just an update. I posted a comment about a month ago. Seems longer. My son and I were planning a trip to see Pete's grave. Looks like it's a go. We're going in August right around my son's birthday. I took 2 weeks off from work, which I desperately needed. I found a site where you can buy a tree for someone and have it planted in a forest of need. You can do this in memoriam of someone. I figured Peter would like this seeing how he loved nature. The Green Man 💚🌳. Well wish us luck. I'm actually a little nervous about this. I never go anywhere. I'll post a comment after the trip. See you soon Peter.

Type O Negative was my first concert experience. My GF at the time wanted to go so I followed not really knowing what to expect. I had not really listened to these guys before. I had only come across them on the Mortal Kombat soundtrack with Blood & Fire. It was an excellent soundtrack but these guys stood out. I had Bloody Kisses and October Rust on heavy rotation awaiting their next album. World Coming Down was awesome! I don't care what anyone says. Everything Dies is a song that hits so close to home. I was blown away by the live performance and totally fell in love with their sound. Quite possibly the most unique band of all time. I have never been to New York but if I ever do, it will definitely be to visit Peter Steele. Damn I miss this band! And Pete. A lot of fans would love another album but in my opinion, they gave us enough. This video moved me to tears. Thank you so much for sharing this. I am going to binge on some Type O Negative now!
