Visiting VS Code Red at his new home, Highpoint Performance Horses!

A lot of people have asked me why I’m not bringing Waylon to my home to stand, and I think this video will show you why! Highpoint performance horses is a world class training and breeding facility, and it doesn’t hurt that they have giraffes!!!

There is alot to that as in alot of paperwork and she wouldnt be able to show everything as it is alot as she can't show some stuff as in how Vs Code Red is collected and other stuff but I am sure she would if she could but however she has talked about some of this stuff in some of her videos

I dont know if you are aware but you have been beaming with joy ever since you bought Waylon and when you are around him or talk about him your smile is ear to ear. I live in Australia & we have English Riding ponies (dressage & show horses), I also judge at Royal & national shows & I absolutely love Waylon, you also have some exquisite mares. I’ve got a soft spot for Quarter horses ( I haven’t owned a QH for many years), I had a very successful QH by Del Mingo, he was way ahead of his time. I’m really enjoying the resurgence of QH in Australia, we want to buy a QH x thoroughbred mare to show as a show hunter but I haven’t seen any that I like enough to buy🤫 I very much like the type of QH that you breed, hopefully we will find the right horse soon. ♥️♥️♥️

My guess is that he's still standing at stud/possibly offering live coverings there. I'm not sure Katie has done collection before and not everyone wants to or has the facilities to collect. Just my guess though

He won't ever do live cover. Strictly AI but you're right, the greater majority of stallion owners keep their studs at stallion stations. Actually standing a stallion requires specialized facilities, equipment, and staff.

She stands him at high point because there facilities are for collection Waylon and shipping his semen along with the contacts of mares being breed to him. Katie doesn’t have her farm/barn set up to do any if that just yet and it makes the best sense to stand him where he is used to being stood at.

I used to run a stallion barn for several years in the 90s. I was just talking about the handling of the stallion. Live cover can be a liability, having mares worth as much as the stallion coming to visit. The insurance, plus the AI set up, & armed security.

I'm the US it is state dependent on the local laws. Like where I live some of these creatures require a permit. Other states don't need a permit for anything. Texas I think it's a state with few laws on it since I know of pet stores in the state where you can buy crocodilians. So for Texas basically if you can afford it you can own it.

She could bring him at anytime back to her farm. However, he is a stud and that’s why he is where he is so he can be collected there all the contracts and all that because it takes a facility such as theirs to handle that where Katie‘s barn at home does not have what is needed when you are standing a stud
