I wouldn't be so sure. They're cheap to produce. Lots of third world countries will still buy, just like the AK. Plus the weakness of older Russian equipment is not uniquely due to flaws, but a general improvement of anti-tank technology.

tbh the fact that the su-34s got shot down doesnt actually diminish su-34's capabilities. any other combact aircraft flying in contested airspace without having first achieved sead/dead wouldve met the same fate
@Prussia_is_not_yet_lost.2 жыл бұрын
Look at the Abrahams tank's fate in Yemen. Trump forced basically the saudis to buy that expensive equipment just to be blown um the minute they enter the combat zone by an Panzerfaust 3 or the like. Even the Merkava is a sitting duck against modern "cheap" (the Javelin costs horrendous 175.000 USD per Unit) handheld antiair and antitank rockets. Do you believe the western modern tanks (like the Leopard) would do better? By no means. What about the new from scratch Armata T-14 of the russians? A completely new tank from 2014 which is supposed to be the most modern tank in the world. Russia has 20% of the worlds natural ressources and the US was planning to grab them by assaulting Russia with time. First arm the Ukraine with nukes then assault Russia to preach 'em the democratic evangelium and then make many Maidans in order to get people unhappy and split the country in many small pieces like they did with the German Empire. Thats how they got the germans down. The first NATO secretary said: "Keep the American in NATO, the Russians out and the Germans keep down, small and helpless". Thats the american foreign policy in a nutshell. The goal is to destroy all big countries with time like Russia, China, India, Canada and Brazil. Thats the american plan to control the world. The first victim to fell prey to this was the German Empire (Prussia and the like).

"Everything has already been said, but not by everyone", so I'll quote this one again. The Russians are not performing badly at all. They are trying to spare the population which then looks "as if they are not making progress". "Shock & Awe" is the American approach. The Russians are encircling, the so-called "Caulderon" or Kessel. This takes time and the West simply does not understand cauldron tactics because they are only interested in blitzkrieg. The Russians take their time. Desertion, low morale, collapsing equipment is "priced in". In return, they make more of the equipment and the crews are "wearing parts". These 20,000 dead in Eastern Ukraine are fallen soldiers of the Ukrainian army between 2014 until today before the invasion because the Ukrainian army lost practically every battle against the Russian separatists (who are fighting for wine, wife, family, house, yard and country). The reason why the Russians are "not advancing" in Eastern Ukraine is not that they are not advancing, but there are the best units of the Ukrainian army, sent there by Zelensky, which they are holding and have now surrounded. It is not that the Russians are not advancing, but they are not in a hurry. Why not let the Russian army slowly settle in the other country? There is no need to hurry and there is no need for a blitzkrieg. What for? The encirclement tactics never had anything to do with blitzkrieg. The Germans and Poles, who have few resources and few people they don't want to burn, have to wage blitzkrieg. The Russians always proceeded slowly in the meat grinder war of positions to close the cauldron with horrendous losses. The goal is to win in the end as a unit. Europeans and Americans tend to save their soldiers and equipment. The Russians do not. If one of their tanks breaks down, they leave it there and the crew goes home. The Russian tank is a wearing part, just like its crew. This concept can be seen exactly again in the new Armata T14 that weighs 48 tons versus the Leopard that weighs 62 tons. 3 or 4 Armata are supposed to be able to take on a Leopard. The concept is to build 12 Armata T-14 (2014 model first launch) which will then take on 3 or 4 Leopards and eventually overwhelm and defeat them by mass. Soviet Union used to refer to yourself as the “motherland”. Putin refers to modern Russia as the “fatherland”. Instead of quoting Marx and Lenin, he refers to the fascist philosopher Ivan . Add to this his Putin youth movement, and the conquest of Germany embedded in his massive cathedral, and you can see how far to the right modern Russia has lurched. Nazi Germany was actually an oligarchy of huge private conglomerates run by supporters of Hitler‘s party. Vladimir Putin is building Russia into the reincarnation of Nazi Germany.
