Lennox also took on the fight with just two weeks notice, surely you realise this ? Look,Vitali was a very formidable fighter, who did give an ageing Lennox some problems. You do realise Lewis was just 3 months off his 38th birthday ? Do you really think Lewis's advanced (in boxing terms ) age doesn't justify his retirement ?

You seem to set great store on Foreman saying Vitali could the win the fight if he just threw some combos.Well he didn't ,end of story. Foreman said Lennox was there to be taken, but Lewis proved to be very resilient, and hung on to win the fight.End of story. There was absolutely no luck involved in Lewis's victory. He won the fight through sheer courage, skill and resilience.By the way those same qualities was shown by Vitali, whom I also rate very highly. However it's an irrefutable fact that an ageing, past his prime Lennox Lewis legitimately defeated a peak Vitali Klitschko.
