sir is this true about decimal: In SQL, the decimal(5,1) data type specifies a decimal number with a total of 5 digits and 1 digit after the decimal point. Here's what each part of the specification represents: The first number (5) indicates the total number of digits allowed for the number, both before and after the decimal point. The second number (1) specifies the number of digits allowed after the decimal point. In the case of decimal(5,1), you have a maximum of 5 digits in total, with 1 digit reserved for the decimal part. This means you can have numbers ranging from -999.9 to 999.9. Here are some examples of valid numbers for a decimal(5,1) column: 123.4 -45.6 0.0 999.9 And here are some examples of invalid numbers for a decimal(5,1) column: 1234.5 (exceeds the total number of digits allowed) -12.34 (exceeds the number of digits after the decimal point allowed) 1000.0 (exceeds the maximum value allowed)

I've got stuck at 5.35, because I can't work out how to set up a new MySQL connection. I'm using Navicat Premium. Super frustrating. Establishing a new connection is super easy, but Navicat wants to know Host, Port, User Name and Passsword, and of course I can't give it those if the database doesn't exist yet! Adam can you provide some instructions on how to get Navicat set up for the instructions from 5.35 onward please. Thanks
@LearnBI Жыл бұрын
You’ll either need to download and install an rdbms (MySQL in this case) on your compute or create and instance in the cloud (e.g. cloud.google.com - paid). Once you’ve done this, you’ll be able to create a connection to it in Navicat.
