Bob running away didn't slow with time. He was running so fast that the sound of his footsteps was affected by the Doppler Effect. The giant knew that and that's why it was so effective.

You’ve activated my nerd brain. I see what you’re sayin, but I don’t think it would apply to footsteps. Since each footstep is smacking the stationary ground, the sound waves aren’t elongating like they would if the sound source was in motion. Now if Bob were yelling, his voice would succumb to the Doppler Effect.

I mean, Ben is forgetting to add his dex damage to all his damage everytime, he tries to use his bow without sneak attack when he could just EB. Rowan has 14AC for some damned reason. They are all playing sub-optimal. But we don't watch them because they are good or insane role players. We watch them cause they are funny. It'd be less funny would they be playing optimised characters. A lot of the situations they find themselves in stems from they sub-optimal play. At the end of the day, what matters is that they have fun, and we have fun too.

Even though the blacksmith could not affect the bow, he might be able to affect the arrows. A different tip could change the damage and the hit. Unfortunately, that would mean that Bob would have to care about how he shoots.

I agree with the sentiment that Rob wants to give them a chance to survive the BBEG at the end. In all fairness, they have been on this campaign for 4 years now, and missed a LOT of power-ups and lore because they didn’t know to loot or look for anything - and the few times they did, bad rolls hindered them. It would have been interesting from a purely intellectual POV to have seen this same campaign side-by-side with a group of experienced players (at least through the first arc).

Greg could have tried Blinding Heal on Yurg. A lot of undead creatures take damage from healing, especially holy healing, so he might have healed Yurg while hurting Wither.

Wither isn't undead. It would of healed both Yurg and the Wither hp bar, which might have been necessary had they been in danger of killing Yurg before the Wither part.

Negative energy is another name for necrotic. And Wither is very much necrotic. So healing would likely hurt it (but maybe heal the fire giant).

Realistically, Ben's starting sneak attack stuff would be that he was going from being entirely too close to the opening where he could be seen to fading back into the shadows where he is not easily seen and can thus able to remain unseen as he makes his attacks. In reality this is similar to how snipers set up their shooting positions when in buildings back from the window hidden in the shadows so they are less likely to be noticed when preparing for and taking their shots.

Hey Rowan, am sure you got a professional helping you. But for your lower back relief when you lean on your chair. Make a triangle with your legs. Put your feet even to each other, put pressure on the outsides, raise your butt up, then move your thighs from the inside to the outside. Pelvis goes forward in this motion, this should create space in your lower back for your tailbone to go down. All very gently and carefully. ❤
