Love this song. Such a interesting use of 3/4 time. Maynard is genius with his lyrics and phrasing. He makes difficult words fit in with the timing of the song flawlessly, with that great voice of his.

No matter how “Humane” you think you are, there always exists that sexual “Pull” in you, that brings down to the level of animals. It’s intrinsic, and unavoidable.........And it also promotes our existence.

I know I'm necromancer but this shit hits hard for me. When you are a social outcast you don't have real outlets, and you just feel your body react to images on a screen to just make it through that urge or whatever. It kinda screams at you, just fuck your so close but it won't last long this emotional beastial high can't be compatible with reality anymore. Some people call it gooning, and they take lust of images seriously, federal glowing or not.

I spent a few years attached at the hip to what I thought was the love of my life. Literally all she did was lie to me and use me to make herself feel better about being a piece of shit. She had troubles of her own growing up so I feel a bit bad for her regardless of how ugly everything turned out. I eventually broke up with her and the dam burst. Life was filled with dread and pain as she slandered me left and right, constantly making up lies and belittling me as person- again to make herself feel validated. She made me think a child that was not mine totally was for almost 2 years, got a restraining order against me and got me locked up for 3 days by falsifying a report with the police and I thought my life was ruined, but then I found the best job of my life, made up with all of the friends and family I had previously unintentionally alienated because of her, and I couldn't be happier. I heard this song and Rose for the first time after all of this had occurred and they just really resonated with me and what had happened. She was definitely a socio/ psychopath/narcissist whatever you wanna call it and therefore I'm going to have to highly agree with you.

@@TheRealGijukBro, I was with a girl for around 5 years in total with the last 2 on and off. She had a kid in dec 2015 and had me convinced she was mine, 3 months after the baby was born she left without saying a word.found out later she went back to the guy that I guess is the father. It was rough but I discovered these songs at that time and it helped immensely to hear the very things I didn't know how to express. 🤙🎶🥃

Putting it on a new line makes it okay to capitalize. Song lyrics are written as poetry, and each line is typically (traditionally) capitalized. So in other words, no need for corrections. Just enjoy the video.

This song leaves you wanting more of its beauty. The hollow one is left with makes someone want to hear it again. Many could wonder if Maynard kept it short to also make that statement, with the song structure itself (a double entendre via symbolism).

It about fulfilling your sexual desires, when you lose it for a moment like thru drug abuse or what ever then you get it back , desire is the strongest thing there is. Its stronger than love cus you will go to the ends of the Earth for it when you come to yourself you realize love is far better and it's either in front of you

Good video. Except it drives me nuts when people don't use proper punctuation and caps. For instance, "Temporarily, Pacify this hungerin'" should be "Temporarily, (p)acify this hungerin'" since it's the same sentence "pacify" should begin in lowercase.

My mid 20s, just got out of a long relationship with a nearly deadly breakup. I lost 50lbs in 3 months. Everyone thought I was going to kill or be killed by this and I came through the other side hungry. Hungry for life, hungry for what I felt I deserved. Pleasures of the flesh and pleasures of a chemical nature. The summer of 2007 I indulged in everything I could, drink, take or penetrate I did. I regret nothing other than that I feel like the cycle is coming around again...
