love this, thank you! Getting into barefoot....I went pretty hard, thinking it was all about toughening up the bottom of my feet....they don't hurt as much as my muscles in my foot do! I should have done these exercises BEFORE trekking with my boots on my back, thanks again!

Flat feet, here. Felt stronger after Day 1. More mobile a within a week. Two weeks later, I still feel stronger everytime I do this routine.

Great exercises! Heer's one that is extremely hard to do and triggers so many feet and leg muscles: one leg balance with eyes closed! Do it beside a counter. The outer leg is off the ground. The inner leg is beside the counter. This way if you tip over to the counter side you are caught, and the outer leg goes down to prevent you from falling if you tip outwards. Extremely difficult to do, but just trying does wonders.

Wow - a great set of exercises and thank you! I'm just back from an 8km bushwalk early this morning in my Vivo Trail Freaks which I love for the reasons you mention - connectedness etc.. I'm currently transitioning gently from my 4mm drop Inov8 runners to a mix of flats (Vivo) and the fully naked feet! As a serious runner, it's worth noting that the transition from regular running shoes to flats/barefoot should be done carefully, having just given myself a minor dose of Plantar Fasciitis from one fairly mild grass running session in less than 5 minutes. Your exercises no doubt will really help me get past this minor setback and reach my goal of developing the facilities for injury-free running for the rest of my life (currently 52). Warm regards and thanks from Sydney, Aust - Dave

Bought my first pair of casual vivo barefoot shoes like 2 weeks ago. I'm doing increasingly longer hikes (still with the extra sole) and I gotta say, I rarely loved the feeling of walking on the forest floor as much as I do now. Stony paths can be a little rough though. I can not yet imagine running on a path with pointy stones yet.

It will take time to condition your feet and change your running style. Running barefoot style means you need to take a much shorter stride length, think small steps. This will reduce impact greatly. Did you see the full workout sequence in the caption below?

KZbin channel bioneer made a video on "game changing exercises to increase athleticism" or something of that title of the video. One of which he does a single leg skip-roping. I've been doing this squat called piston squat- essentially its a modified pistol squat but having a calf raise at the end. Made this exercise up myself, good alternative of doing a cossaic squat to increase ankle mobility. But great video!

So i had a bad ankle break (also my left) Because of it, I don't have full range of motion in my left ankle. Squats are doable but my form suffers because I CAN'T get me knee over my toes.I also really can't roll side to side very well. It has gradually gotten better over the past year and a half, but for a month of two now, I feel like it hasn't gotten better. Any suggestions?

Hey bro I read an article about your 2 meal a day plan. Can this help a athlete who's training almost twice a day either and ground or on gym? If yes then muscle loss is bound to happen and how do we maintain that? Please suggest. 🙏
@max.lowery5 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for the comment. Professional athletes will usually use it on the rest days/offseason. Just because you are fasting, doesnt mean you automatically lose muscle. In fact, when combined with strength training, the opposite happens. Muscle wastage can come from not being able to get enough calories in for the day.
@nitinparihar50685 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the response max, I have added strength training to my regime already, so for calorie fulfillment can I bulk up those two meals? With eating more protein carbs fats and micros all together.
