VK COMMODORE + 9,800RPM NASCAR ENGINE = AWESOME!!!!

Jono Kelly has been around the Burnout scene for a number of years competing in his White VK Commodore "3FIVE5" around the country, unfortunately this car was one of four that was burnt on the way to UBC Perth in 2018, The vehicle was a write-off.
Not to be deterred Jono sourced a fresh VK Shell and built a new car in around 8 months with Summernats being it's debut event.
It's safe to say he's stepped it up a little and is no longer running a Chinese Chev with this Naturally Aspirated Weapon now campaigning a Dry-Sumped 358 Cube Nascar Dodge Engine, and the first skid in the video shows the potential of this car with a screaming 9,800rpm seen on the Tacho for large portions of the Skid.
The second Burnout was a little safer with Jono keeping the revs under 9,000rpm.

These engines are essentially regular GM small block V8s with 30,000 dollars worth of upgrades. Aside from the block, everything is custom made out of the strongest materials allowed. Pistons are forged aluminum with conrods being made of forged steel or 4340 billet. Cranks are made of similar materials.
