Glad this got posted. Rebuilding my fuel pump for my project 2008 c50 as well. Gas tank all rust and sludge. I would like to know if you do have to replace the wiring, what’re the gauges and types of wires?

better just buying the kit needs to be fuel resistant. better to stick with what you know is right. :)

Shouldn't need any adjustments, everything on this year is managed electronically, if you have issues there is a throttle adjustment

I'm having a problem with my 2009 Suzuki boulevard. She starts but doesn't go over 2000 rpm. I put new injectors, new fuel pump,new spark plugs and I charged the computer and still doesn't go over 2000 rpm.

The harness that you disconnected in the first when you took the assembly out of the tank. What does it go to? My new assembly has it but my old one didn't?

What symptoms (short of completely shut down) indicate a need to replace the filter and possibly the pump? My c50 runs ok except it cuts out at high speeds like it is starving for fuel. Years ago I had a car that did the exact thing... replaced the fuel pump and solved the issue.

Could be a pump issue but it could be an injector issue. My injectors got clogged up from my brother in law neglecting my bike when I was away, it's why I had to replace the pump too. I swapped the pump, wires, spark plugs and rigged up a sealed adaptor for shooting brake clean into the injectors while I had it hooked up to a bench power supply with a toggle switch so I could mimic the spray pattern. The symptoms for a pump failing range from intermittent no start when the battery is good, Vehicle surging and losing power while driving, and you should hear the pump turn on when you turn your key before actually cranking the engine.

Tip for disconnecting battery; take the negative off, that way your positive is still protected from accidental short.

I have a 2005 Suzuki C50 and when I went to start riding this year(about a week ago), it was no go. My troubleshooting led me to find out I keep blowing the fuel 10A fuse, the fuel pump comes on for about 1 sec and then the fuse blows - anybody out there got any recommendations for the fix? - thx

Might be a short in the wiring in the tank or leading to the tank. I'd check for damaged wiring or an accidental ground point.
