Ms. Long was INCREDIBLE! Mr. Ali was GREAT! How do I know? Because I hated them -- HATED them both -- in this film. That's how well they played those roles. I don't know why some people complained that the film didn't have enough music ... it was a wonderful merger of her music and her personal story. Great job.

Yeah. I hated Ali in this film. I didn't hate Nia but only because I didn't view her as mean or anything like that. I can see why she would be seen that way, but I saw how deep her pain ran. She was extremely hurt and depressed it seemed and it came out bitter. It was hard for me to hate her mom for that. I hated Cross' nasty ass..
