In this clip, Vlad started off speaking about President Biden pardoning people for low-level federal marijuana offenses, which Freeway Ricky said was a “joke.” He then explained why it didn’t help free thousands of people because there aren’t low-level offenders in federal prison, and Freeway Ricky pointed out the 35 states where it’s legal. Vlad then asked Freeway Ricky about opening his first dispensary, and he spoke about how he’s in 11 states now. He then explained how the marijuana business is up and down, and Freeway Ricky spoke about how prices have been drastically cut in recent months because the market is flooded.

I ran some farms back in the day, but nothing like this level. It was nothing to see a farm with 50-100 100’ dep greenhouses, out in the open in plain view. Cartels run the game now.

To give you an idea about lights I've heard on some videos (Cannacribs) that do tours, 1.5kW to 3kW per square foot of lights is what they're using to get the results that everyone wants. Arizona has a water shortage due to Middle Eastern alfalfa farmers exporting alfalfa back to the region after being banned to save water. Allowing us to grow our own enabled me to cut my ties to the dispensary system. KZbin has a fabulous wealth of resources to grow "dat cali bud" wherever you are. I grew one female hybrid this year for the first time. Dried and cured correctly. And I'm stunned. The genetics were real. The grow proper. Very happy it is legal. But yeah, dispensaries will have to find an extra source of income besides "product" to survive.

I wanted to grow my own more as a curiosity and got super lucky with genetics. Would I do it again? Probably. But I have space and time. Not everyone does. Dispensaries still have a valid space in the market for sure. No problem here. I'm just trying to become a little more self sufficient.

Yep, I had a commercial grow here in Crested Butte, Colorado. I opened my grow in late 2016. I was getting 3,000 a lb. It went down fast. When I closed my doors last spring (2022) I was getting 400 a lb. It cost me 5-600 a lb. To grow. I lost everything. I’m fixing my house up right now, to sell it, because I’m now broke. I lost 550,000 dollars. Ya live, ya learn. You take some punches along the way. I had a great experience though. Life is full of twists and turns, but I loved what I did.

Listen ppl before you get the wrong info 😂. I’m a truck driver. Have been for almost a decade. Weed WAS NOT legalized at the federal level only on the state level. As truck drivers we are governed by an organization called the FMCSA. The FMCSA has a ZERO TOLERANCE policy against drugs and alcohol. The FMCSA is a FEDERAL ENTITY. What I’m telling you all is that if you get caught with any amount of weed in a commercial vehicle across state lines your not walking away with a citation 😂. I just wanted to clarify this since Rick most likely is unaware of any of this and that driver he talked to was mostly lying his ass off as many of them do 😂.

Some dispensaries will sell an ounce of shake for $30 and some of the bigger ones will sell an 1/8th of bud for $50+ like it’s high school and you have no other options. I’ll buy cartridges from pretty much anywhere but I don’t get weed from the big name dispensaries anymore. But there is good weed to be had for very reasonable prices if you don’t mind spending 30-45 minutes on Weedmaps. You gotta put the work in. You wouldn’t buy the first TV or laptop that you see. Being a smart consumer is on the consumer.

It's not cheaper. The regulations on cannabis make it much more expensive. If you grow outdoors you can't be near people. If indoors you need industrial scale AC, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, watering systems, CO2, and so much more just to grow the plants. Not to mention the hundreds of thousands of dollars just to get a license. if you want to transport it anywhere you need to hire licenced armed transportation. But to sell it you need to get it tested for a very large number of things. You can fail one of the tests just by breathing on the bud. Oh and almost every square foot of your facility needs to be watched by cameras 24 hours a day, and saved for years. I definitely missed a bunch of stuff too, and that's why many places have people who's job is just making sure everything is compliant.
