In this clip, Tom Mesereau spoke about actor Macaulay Culkin taking the stand in Michael Jackson's 2005 criminal trial. Tom explained that he met with Macaulay and his entertainment lawyer ahead of the trial, and the lawyer was very concerned about how the trial would affect his career. That is the real reason why people make controversial documentaries etc. and attach Michaels name to them is because its great marketing. Also, it helps a persons career when they use Michaels name. For example Dan Reed who made the fictional film Leaving Neverland is winning prizes, he is not interested in the truth, just to boost his career and what better way than to use Michael Jacksons name.
