Wow. You have a great physical therapy team who clearly understands a lisfranc injury.

I am two and a half months after the lisfrank injury. 4 bones broken and two central ones displaced. I have two scars. one nice and one a kind of sorghum and ugly. I am 61 years old and am I going slowly? I'm already slowly walking with the help of barrels. It probably goes faster for young people. You have a full team to help you. Great. I have only internet. Is good you put in net! But I trying. 👍🤞😉

I fractured my Lisfranc complex and fractured two metatarsals whilst doing Judo. I didn’t need surgery. 6 weeks post injury and I am out of my moon-boot and back at training doing all exercises. Foot feels a little weird, more or less tightness in my plantar fascia. All I have now it a small lump on my foot, but I think that is from the fractured metatarsal. If you’re an athlete really think about doing physical therapy instead of surgery as the procedure can do more damage than good.

Wow, this different. Most research I have read says surgery is the only way to insure long term recovery.

I suffered the lisfranc injury on April 8th training for the State and National Champion of Pole Dance. 5 days before the first Championship I fell from the bar and got hurt, I broke all ligaments of the left foot. Currently I can not move 3 fingers and I still can not return my life of physical activities as before. It's good to know that I'm not alone.

Currently undergoing a multiple fractures in the lisfranc area with a lot of screws and plates in my foot. Still got 2 weeks to go with my leg high up. Hopefully I will be able to have the same recovery you have. It's good to see that you can actually walk again. Wondering how fast did it take for you to actually run or dance again after the injury?

I am in my 3rd week of an extremely bad lisfranc fracture. I'm keeping my foot elevated, and am an under-confident crutch user. I am trying to do some exercises with my cast, but am not doing a heck of a lot...I think I'm depressed. Though I am trying very hard to stay upbeat.The cast has to stay on for 6 full weeks and then I'll get the boot for 2 weeks. I'm afraid I won't be able to walk normally again.I have 4 screws and a pin. Thanks for the video. It's great! Some interesting physio to expect in the weeks to come. Are you walking well now? I want very badly to walk normally again. I've seen one physio masseus and have contacted one of the best physio/osteo's and together I'm hoping to map out a focussed plan for recovery... Thanks again for your video. Very inspiring. I worked out today: Mainly leg lifts, clam shells and bridge...also am rolling out my T bands because they are killing me! I did a fews sets. But your video makes me want to do more... : ))

Hello! It's been three months since you posted your comments. How has your process been so far since that? I had a foot surgery on January and my cast was removed a couple weeks ago. It's not easy to go to therapy during quarrantine :( please give me some hope and/or tips! Thanks in advance. :)
@adyacesnof4 жыл бұрын
@Chris Farley In January I had an osteoynthesys with a couple screws and an external nail in order to set the bones in their right place after a lisfranc fracture. It's been a while, and the recovery has been fine. After having the cast removed I have exercised at home due to the quarrantine and the results have been good enough. Just started all physiotherapy sesions to walk in a normal way, little by little. I left the moonwalk boot too like a week ago. I started wearing comfortable sneakers again. I certainly don't know what fusion means -is it the same that inserting screws or other tools? Or was mine a regular surgery? How would your options be?
@adyacesnof4 жыл бұрын
@Chris Farley No, there was no plate. Just two kind of crossed screws (which are still in my foot) and an external pin that was removed in March, as the cast. The screws are supposed to stay there for a year or so, and then I would have another surgery for them to be removed. When are you supposed to have your surgery? Did you have a lisfranc fracture as well?

Hi Lena, I had lisfranc surgery 19 days ago where i had a screw and plate inserted. I’m planning to return to professional football in 10 weeks and play with the metal still in the foot. The plan is to take it out in the off-season. I started walking at 16 days post surgery with a slight limp. I’m interested to know when you got the screws removed? If at all? How long did it take you to progress from walking to running/jumping?
@LenaErdil2 жыл бұрын
Hi I initially had that plan as well but had it taken out before being able to return to competition and full impact training. the risk of the screws breaking was too big. If it's the foot you shoot the ball with I can imagine you would also have o face that risk. make sure you get a doctors opinion who will truly understand the load that your foot will go through while the screws are in before you make a decision. best of luck !
@tmac43432 жыл бұрын
@@LenaErdil thank you for the reply. It’s not my kicking foot so hopefully that helps. And yes this was the doctors and surgeons plan so fingers crossed it works. Did you get back to running and jumping with the screw in? Or did you leave it until it was out?
@LenaErdil2 жыл бұрын
@@tmac4343 I was jumping and running already, but after the screws got out I could feel the difference straight away! Turns out I could really feel the screws in my foot and they were causing most the pain I still had.
